3.5 Star #Review ~ Hunted by Meagan Spooner

This was different, not what I expected at all. As much as I liked it, I wasn’t feeling the relationship between Yeva and the Beast. I also thought the middle was weird. Honestly I liked it but I think I had more issues with it than I realized. Plus I am not really sure why I liked it. lol

Ok, I found the story interesting and I liked the characters. The story is told in Yeva (Beauty) POV with some journal entries from the Beast. I wasn’t really understand his back story plus his demand on her was odd, I didn’t understand that relationship they had. I also didn’t feel a lot of chemistry he was a little too intense and really didn’t get to see a “softer” side of him. As the story progressed we his the middle (closer to the end) area that had the “Beast’s Forest”, I don’t know if I missed something but this totally confused the heck out of me. I didn’t get it, I also still wasn’t sure what the heck was going on. I felt like an entire section of the story was sort of missing. I honestly really liked her and I think that was what kept me reading plus I liked her sisters. I almost would have been ok with not having the Beast’s Forest and just having her meet him and build a relationship from there. I don’t know something was off about the book but I liked it, otherwise I wouldn’t have finished it.

I don’t want to be harsh, honestly I liked it, I think it was Yeva that made me enjoy it, however, the story wasn’t what I was expecting and the end sort of just happened and fell flat. I would recommend because maybe you will see it differently then I did and then we can chat about it.

  1. I’ve seen pretty mixed reviews for this one, so you’re not alone. I like that cover and it draws me in but I don’t think it’s be my thing. I’ve never really gotten the whole Beast thing anyway so there’s that lol.

  2. Yeva does sound interesting though it sounds like there are some serious execution issues here. I hate that confusing feeling where it feels like part of the book is missing so this probably isn’t the book for me but I’m glad you enjoyed the characters enough that it was a good read.
