Bet you didn’t even notice I was gone ;) ~ WIR & TSP

In Real life:

Every bit of weather that winter offers happened in one day this week. Tuesday we had the weirdest winter storm ever. It snowed, sleeted, rained, ice rain, froze and snowed again. Like a winters worth of weather in one day. It was the worst 6 inches to shovel because it was heavy and wet. The kids had off of school for two days because apparently the towns forgot how to plow. The streets are a mess and it was a nightmare to drive anywhere. I took off on Tuesday (the day it started) and returned to work on Wednesday but it was one hell of an adventure to get there. I am really over the winter and this is coming from the girl who loves winter.

I took the week off to clear my head and I think I might need another week but I will wait until the spring because winter is not a great time to clear your head. 🙂 I did a little blogging (see below) and I read not as much as I wanted but it’s ok. I honestly spent a lot of time just doing stuff off the computer and working on some design stuff. So it was a nice week but I am back and can start to visit again because I missed you all!!!

On the blog:

Wednesday was the last day of Blog Ahead and I didn’t do as much as I wanted but I was happy with what I was able to accomplish. I think I finished with 7 posts ahead and 16 drafts. Monday starts Bloggiesta I really want to join to just focus on drafting posts. Honestly it’s not the same as it used to be, which makes me sad, because it was always my favorite event. I plan to just focus on drafting posts, I have other goals but since I do most, if not all, of my blogging on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I can really do it any time. I know that will change in the summer but I am hoping to be so ahead with drafts that I wont have to worry about posts, just visiting, finishing up drafts and scheduling reviews….Fingers Crossed!

What I’m Watching:

I am waiting for Bones to finish out Season 12 (the last season) so I can binge watch them all. So at the moment I am on season 9 going to season 10. This is my second fill run through so when I get to the end of 11 I can binge Season 12 finished out the entire show. (season 12 is the final for the series) When it’s done I plan to binge watch Once Upon a time since I missed this entire season then hopefully move on to all the other shows I wanted to watch.

Last Week on the Blog:

  1. Wow quite a day! Sounds like your winter has been worse than ours and we’re north of you guys! Ours has been mild, considering. Not that I like it! I still need spring. 🙂 Glad you had a good week off though.

I love the cover of Strange alchemy.

Once Upon a Time I’ve only seen the first few episodes. 🙁

    • I hope it’s over! That was a crazy day. Not my favorite 🙂
The strange alchemy has a neat cover, I really liked it
You need to get watching, I really enjoy that show but maybe because it’s a retelling and I love retellings.

  2. Ugh we had that crazy storm on Tuesday too. I hated that it was such a heavy snow so no real fun for the kids. I can’t wait to see what you think of The Sun is Also a Star. Hope you enjoy all of your new books and have a great week!!

    • It really was heavy. The kids didn’t even want to go outside. The sun is also a star was ok. Not as epic as most thought it was but I enjoyed it.

    • Welcome 🙂 please don’t apologize, I am glad you stopped by! Thank you! I tried to stay ahead…so far, so good! 🙂

  3. Yikes, that does sound like some nightmare weather! Glad you got some blogging done for blog ahead though, even if wasn’t as much as you wanted.

So many new books! Time Weaver seems interesting and I considered requesting that one but am doing a good job of controlling myself for books that I’m kind of undecided about. Pretty cover though! And yay, that’s awesome that you got a book you really wanted in the box!

    Have a great week 🙂

  4. That storm sounds crazy! I think I would have ended up huddling down for several days just to get over the shock of it. But then that’s my winter hating no idea what to do with snow self. Sounds like you had a good break and is it possible to get as much reading done as you want? I always think I’m going to get so much reading done and then none of it ends up happening because other things always need to be done. Have a great week!

  5. I missed your post last week, glad your back! 🙂 I did have to go and request Strange Alchemy when I saw who the author was! You can keep that nasty weird weather up that way…lol. You got a lot of cool books! Have fun reading!

  6. Taking breaks when you need them are much better than months of burnout. I’m glad you took time for yourself to do what you wanted/needed! Welcome back!

I REALLY need to catch up with Once Upon a Time. It’s always difficult for me to squeeze in TV shows between my hobbies but I’m getting better at balancing so maybe I can squeeze it into my schedule.

Uppercase looks like it was a great box this month! I hope you enjoy your book. Its on my wishlist as well. 🙂

    • After last years major life slump, I realized I need the breaks at least once a season. So my plan is every season to take a week long break to keep me fresh! 🙂

ME TOO! I am working so hard to balance my time and at the moment I am getting better at fitting things in. 🙂

I had a feeling it was going to be Beauty and the Beast theme but when I opened the package I squealed. I was so excited to see that book. It has been on my radar for quite some time! 🙂

  7. I am glad you had a nice week off, even if it wasn’t quite the week you were hoping for. I heard about the snow storm! A friend of mine in New York posted photos from her yard of all the snow she’d gotten. It was crazy. I sent her a picture of our sunshine. She wasn’t too grateful. Haha. I love that Uppercase box! Awesome stuff. I hope you have a great week, Michelle! Thank you for visiting my blog!

  8. Awesome haul, Michelle! And you had posts up every day last week, so no wonder if we didn’t notice you were gone :p I know we all get busy and may not be able to comment and visit, so I didn’t really think of not seeing you in the comment section over at my blog 😉
I have loads of drafts made, too, and by mistake, I published one of them before I was ready… I was able to get it down real quick, but then I had to go to FB, Twitter, Google+ etc to delete posts, too.
I hope spring is on its way to NJ, too!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • I did even comment a bit on the blog if someone comments. I was ahead so it was the perfect time to take a break. I am still in a book place that I don’t need to really do any blogging until next weekend but I plan to draft more today if I have time

OMG i hate when that happens, I have done that more times than I like to admit! It’s such a pain to have to run around deleting everything. lol

I need Spring. I am so over winter, I still can’t believe I said that! 🙂

  9. Sorry to hear about the weather, Michelle. I hope it’s getting better. I’m looking forward to your reviews for Lawless and The Sun Is Also The Star. They sound great. I’ve been wanting to read T.M. Frazier’s books, especially her dark romances. Betrayed sounds great too. I hope you enjoy them all.

Btw, I did miss you. Glad you’re back. 😀
Have a great week and happy reading.

    • Thankfully it is better today and looks like it wont be too bad this week but it’s been so crazy 🙂
Lawless was good, not my favorite in the series but I am so eager to read Soulless. I am hosting a challenge called Author Love and I picked her as my author. I can’t wait to read all the books, especially Preppy’s Book.

      Awww! Thanks (((hugs))) 🙂

    • I am addicted to Bones, I am taking my time with it since it hasn’t done the series finally yet and I want to watch it straight until the end. I love Netflix and Hulu!
I need to watch Once before I start to see spoilers! I can’t believe I haven’t watched one episode this season! I love that show. but I don’t really watch TV much only Netflix and Hulu! 🙂

  10. That’s crazy you suddenly got a winter storm in one day. We had spring weather the whole week and suddenly rain, and winds this weekend like it’s autumn instead of almost spring. That’s nice you took some time off to clear your head and work on some design stuff.

I am glad I didn’t participate in blog ahead as I haven’t had much time to blog these past few weeks, although I did got some reviews written. I hope you have fun with Blogiesta. I got a bunch of new books this week as well, sometimes you just have one of those weeks where you get a lot of new books, it’s kinda nice. I hope you have a great week!

I also got the Mabel Opal book, but it was a pdf only so i wa sunable tor ead it and had to send feedback that i wa sunable tor ea dit. Which makes me sad as it soudned good.

    • The break really helped me get my self a little more organized and working on some stuff. Like my website, which is almost complete.

I am hoping to spend most of this week, drafting posts. When I have a lot drafted it’s easier for me to get them all finished each week.

They are PDF books, I also can’t read them but downloaded an app for it. The app is awful so I might try it again to see if I can read them otherwise I will be sending feedback too. 🙂
