What is Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon? For 24 hours, we read books, post to our blogs, Twitters, Tumblrs, Goodreads and MORE about our reading, and visit other readers’ homes online. We also participate in mini-challenges throughout the day. It happens twice a year, in April and in October.
Want to sign up? or do you want to be a cheerleader. Head on over to 24 Hour Readathon and sign up, you still have plenty of time.
I did this event twice last year and completely fell in love with the idea of reading for 24 hours. I haven’t actually made the entire 24 hours but I am hoping to do it this year. I wont be doing this for charity like I did last time only because I want to concentrate on reading as many books as I can. I will however be doing it for charity in October. My list is hopefully what I will be reading but I know it will change. I have been in such a weird reading mood that this read-a-thon I am throwing out all the deadlines and release dates and reading whatever the heck I want. I think this will not only get me to read a bunch of books I have wanted to get to but maybe even get me out of this stupid slump I have been in and back to a better place of reading.
My TBR list ~
I don’t have one. I am just going to grab and go. It will be a complete surprise and will update what books I have read or will read in my update posts throughout the read-a-thon. 🙂
Are you joining the 24 hour Read-a-thon? Let me know so I can cheer you on!
Have a great day and Happy Reading!
