School psychologists aren’t supposed to write books about sex. Doing so would be considered “unethical” and “a fireable offense.” Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit.

After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous, cold, number crunching husband simply wasn’t capable of the kind of passion I’d come to expect. After all, my ex-boyfriends—a skinhead turned US Marine turned motorcycle club outlaw, a baby-faced punk rocker out on parole, and a heavy-metal bass player—were every bit as tattooed and testosterone-fueled as the leading men in my favorite romance novels. If I couldn’t have that kind of passion again in real life, I could at least write about it. Right? Nobody had to know. It would be my little secret.

Well, guess what? My husband read that shit.

And guess what else? He upped his fucking game.

Drunk with power and under the dubious advisement of my best friend and colleague, I began testing the limits—crafting journal entries specifically designed to manipulate Ken’s behavior. For the most part, he responded beautifully…except when he didn’t.

I need a bigger word than hilarious. Something that would explain how funny and awesome I thought this books was. Snort Laugh Funny…Snot Laugh funny I tooted….Laugh Out Loud the neighbors called the cops thinking you were being murdered. Maybe the last one would best describe how funny I thought this was. So funny and so well done. I true story (I am assuming this was true) with lots of twists and the funniest moments that had me wishing I had awesome stories like this to tell.

I only had a very minor issue with the book, it dragged a little in some spots but picked back up rather quickly. Overall I just really loved this story. I really stink at explaining this book but trust me you wont be disappointed and make sure you read it with the windows closed and keep your husband/boyfriend (or both, whatever your into) because some of those steamy scenes can either force you to a cold shower or make your significant other very happy! 🙂

I totally recommend for anyone looking for a steamy novel told in a different way with laugh out loud scenes and so awesomely done! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

  1. First of all, I am howling over your alternate terms for hilarious. And unfortunately I’m at the office so my boos thinks I’ve lost my mind. LOL

To be honest, I rarely go for books that are heavy on the humor (call me crazy, but I crave the angst, not laughs) but this one really does sound like so much fun. And you’ve definitely upped my curiosity. 🙂
