APP #Reviews ~ Don’t Starve

Posted November 13, 2015 by Michelle in App Review / 3 Comments

reviewing AppsApp Reviews is a feature that reviews free and bought apps from the App Store, we download them, whether free or paid and play, then either just Me and/or Ryan (10) and/or Julia (7) will tell you what we thought. Sometimes reviews just don’t tell you what you really want to know and the pictures just don’t give enough info. So the three of us (or only me) have played the game, taken screen shots  and will tell you what we honestly think. So before you download that game, check out what we thought of it first.

Have a game you are considering playing but aren’t sure send us an email and we will look into it and it might be featured on our next App Reviews

Review:

The App doesn’t work on the kids iPads so I will be reviewing this by myself.

This is a weird game, I am not even sure I know 100% what I am suppose to be doing, I understand from the synopsis above I need to find my way back home, how I do that I have no idea. With that being said I actually like this game a lot. The little dude is crazy looking but I like making him run around the world collecting stuff and creating now things. My only issue with the game is they have a way to build a house for your little guy to live but if he’s trying to go home why do I need a house? and I also tend to lose the machines that create stuff because I can’t remember where I put them. I think I just like the game to run around and it gives me something to do.

As you play the game you open up more characters that each have a special ability to play with in the game. So far my favorite is the little girl with the flames since when it gets dark you need to light a fire so you don’t get eaten by monsters. The little flame girl has her own lighter so she can light stuff up that keeps the monsters away. The world has different areas, stuff to eat and lots of resources to help you throughout the game. The food part is hard to figure out but that could be because it really give no direction as to how to catch or kill the weird looking animals. Seriously this game is weird, however it is a very popular game on the PC and gets lots of love.

This game is rather fun even if I don’t know what the heck I am doing but over all I would recommend if you are looking for something a little strange, weird and at times a bit creepy. I am giving this game three-half-stars Something a little strange, weird and at times a bit creepy. Click To Tweet

  1. This sounds like a weird, but fun game. I like the look of the character, he looks a bit strange, but I guess that what makes him look different. I think I’ve seen this guy around once before as he looks familiar. That you have to find your way home, but also can build a house is abit weird, maybe the reasoning behind that is that it’s just a hosue and he wants to go home? I like the art/ graphic style, it gives the game a certain feel. Great review Michelle!
