Haunt the House: Terrortown ~ APP #Reviews

Posted February 25, 2015 by Michelle in App Review / 4 Comments

reviewing AppsApp Reviews is a feature that reviews free and bought apps from the App Store, we download them, whether free or paid and play, then either just Me and/or Ryan (9) and/or Julia (7) will tell you what we thought. Sometimes reviews just don’t tell you what you really want to know and the pictures just don’t give enough info. So the three of us (or only me) have played the game, taken screen shots  and will tell you what we honestly think. So before you download that game, check out what we thought of it first.

Have a game you are considering playing but aren’t sure send us an email and we will look into it and it might be featured on our next App Reviews

Review:

Ryan 9: This is a cute game, easy but very fun

Julia 7: The controls are a little difficult to understand but it’s very cute,

Michelle: This is adorable, love the little ghost, so cute and a lot of fun. I really wish it had more levels since it only has 4. For $1.99 I was hoping the game would be a little long.

Ryan and I have both beat the game already, twice 🙂

You play as a little ghost and you need to haunt 4 house and scare the heck out of the people in it. You possess a few items and make them move around. The people start screaming and run out of the house. It’s rather entertaining to make them get scared. The more you scare them the more rank you get on the house. It starts as relaxed with everyone just roaming about and chatting, as you start to move around the house possessing item the house started to change, to quiet, uneasy, strange, unsettling, creepy, sinister and then terrifying. Each time the house changes status you unlock a new possession when you possess an item, so for example, if you possess a chair at first you might only be able to move it back and forth but as the status of the house gets scarier you next might make it move and/or float. Some people get scared enough that they might be considered a jumper (like jumps out a window) and they have a few characters in each house the need to be “killed” so you can collect the ghost of them. So you might want to consider that before allowing younger kids to play. My 7 year old as much as she understands what they are doing she also understands it’s only a game. The game recommends for 9+ but I think someone that is 7 would be ok to play this as long as they understand the details I explained before.

The kids and I agree that game should be longer but really think this is a very cute game ~ four-stars

  1. This looks like a fun and cute game indeed! I like the concept that you are a ghost and have to scare peopel, although 4 levels isn’t a lot. I am sad it it requires iOS 7 or hgiher, my ipad is stuck with a iOS 3 or something like that as it’s an old one and I can’t play a lot of games because of that. Great app review 🙂

  2. Ack this sounds so fun! And I like the idea of branching out in reviewing, I’ve been wanted to add fashion/beauty reviews to my blog for a long time. 🙂 I enjoyed this and might actually download it myself. Not a big came player but this is seriously adorable. :E

  3. Sounds like a cute game but if I am going to pay for an app, it needs more levels. Hopefully they will make more levels for it later on.

  4. Hahaha now this looks like my kind of game – I’d rather be the ghost than be haunted. Looks cute – too bad it’s so short. Great review!
