Icycle ~ APP #Reviews

Posted March 11, 2015 by Michelle in App Review / 6 Comments

reviewing AppsApp Reviews is a feature that reviews free and bought apps from the App Store, we download them, whether free or paid and play, then either just Me and/or Ryan (9) and/or Julia (7) will tell you what we thought. Sometimes reviews just don’t tell you what you really want to know and the pictures just don’t give enough info. So the three of us (or only me) have played the game, taken screen shots  and will tell you what we honestly think. So before you download that game, check out what we thought of it first.

Have a game you are considering playing but aren’t sure send us an email and we will look into it and it might be featured on our next App Reviews

Review:

Ryan 9:  Very creative and fun game but doesn’t like the naked guy. three-stars

Julia 7: Unfortunately she did not like this game and found the control very hard. one-star

Michelle: This game is ok, it interesting but can be very frustrating, I also found the controls to be more annoying than hard. two-stars

It’s a naked dude on a bike…I’ll let that sink in….Yes, a naked dude on a bike. At some point in the same you get clothes for him but not pants. So then he becomes a shirt dude with no pants. He is also in love with a snow woman, seriously this game is weird, the point of it? Her head falls off and he’s going to get it. He even kisses a fish.  You need to collect ice cubes to get new outfits and bikes to ride, the landscape that he rides on is jagged and when he falls off, he loses all his clothes. As much as the graphics are very nice and the color palettes are pretty, I just can’t seem to like this game as much as Ryan.

This game may not be good for young kids due to nakedness but that for my kids this wasn’t the issue, Julia found it hard and just didn’t like it but Ryan beat the game and thought it was fun. They both did giggle that he is nude but it’s not obscene, you know he’s nude but just don’t see anything. Thank god!

So out of the three of us only Ryan kind of liked this game, Julia and I just thought it was weird with awkward game controls. How well we can’t like them all.

  1. This sounds like a weird game and indeed the first thing I wondered is what is up with the naked guy on a small bike. If the controls aren’t intuitive it can be really annoying. I don’t really like the graphics either, so I think I will skip this one. It is nice that you got it for free though. I have an app called app of the day only then in dutch and it features a free app every day,. I like trying the games for free, although when it comes to most I wouldn’t pay for them. Great review!
