Behind the Blog

I changed this up a little, still the same idea, but a little different. I thought it would be fun to share some fun facts about me. On Friday I will have a theme of fun facts. Some will be lists and others will be a paragraph or two and some might be just pictures. Thought this would be something fun to share so you can find out a little more about the person behind the blog.

This weeks fun fact is: Confessions

So this week I thought I would share a few confessions with you. Things you might not know or things I never really told anyone but planning to tell you. It is more of deep, things you didn’t know type of post πŸ™‚

  • I never read the first two books for Harry Potter ~ I watched the movies then moved on to book three and read the rest of the series. I did go back and read the first but I never read the second book.
  • I don’t pee in public bathrooms unless I REALLY can’t wait. I will hold it until I get home. Not good for your bladder but ewwww, public bathrooms.
  • My mom sent me to school when I was little with ringworm on the back of my leg. I wanted to wear a dress but she made me wear pants so no one saw it.
  • I have never seen the Notebook (I’m ok with getting my girl card taken away for that)
  • On Fridays it’s my day off and sometimes I tell my husband I did a bunch of stuff but in reality I didn’t do anything at all, just read and took a nap. πŸ™‚
  • I still believe in Santa (don’t judge)
  • When I was 8 I licked the dogs water and when my mom came out to ask what me and my friend were doing she told her and I had to write “I will not lick the dogs water” 100 times on a piece of paper
  • I stabbed myself in the leg with a pen knife I wasn’t suppose to be playing with…lesson learned
  • I don’t like water…not like taking showers or swimming I mean drinking it…I just can’t drink water.
  • I talk to myself…like full conversations and I am ok with it.
  • When I was young I took a ticket off a persons car because I felt bad…Oops
  • Sometimes I make believe the meat I took out is still frozen so we can order dinner instead of me cooking πŸ™‚
  • I stalk people pictures on FB and Instagram (you know you do it too)
  • I used to Twirl a flag in the band…for 4 years… I can’t remember any routines but I can still twirl a mean broom or umbrella if given the chance.
  • I sleep on the couch every night…my husband snores and I’m scared I will beat him in his sleep because it’s so loud. πŸ˜‰
  • I prefer to write thing down rather than use apps.
  • I have an obsession with Pens.

Well at the moment that is all I can think of, I am sure I have a TON more but I will save that for next time πŸ™‚

  1. Omigosh! Can I just say it’s a little scary how alike we are, Michelle?!? No, I never licked the dog’s water, or stabbed myself with a pen knife…and I *have* seen The Notebook. But, I do sometimes let my hubs believe I did soooo much stuff in a day where I really just read. πŸ˜‰ And I also have full conversations with myself. I’ve even been caught doing this in public. I tell my family that I talk to myself because sometimes I’m the only one who listens to me! I still believe in Santa. Come on! You have to believe in Santa! I’ve not finished the Harry Potter series. I know that’s not exactly the same but still…please don’t hate me for it. πŸ˜‰ My younger daughter is in color guard! She spins a mean flag but really prefers tossing a rifle and sabre. πŸ˜‰ I, sadly, cannot do these things, but I can dream. πŸ˜‰ You know I prefer writing things down rather than using something electronic. I also have an obsession with pens. AND although I don’t sleep on the couch, my hubs snores something awful and I might, just sometimes, jab him really hard in the side to get him to stop…even if only momentarily. Shh. Don’t tell him. πŸ˜‰

    • That is too funny!
I used to kick my husband and shake the bed but I am such a light sleeper I just can’t do it anymore because I wasn’t sleeping. My couch is very comfy so me and the dog snuggle on the couch. lol

I was so scared to do the rifle or sabre then flag made me nervous if I threw it.
I don’t hate you! You have plenty of time to still read it πŸ™‚

      Santa ROCKS!

  2. I don’t like water either! I have to add flavoring to it, because the water taste is gross!

I wish I could get away with not using public restrooms, but bladder condition makes that impossible. Sometimes those things are scary, but when nature calls…. πŸ˜›

When I was little, I totally ate a dog snack to try it. My mom STILL brings that up from time to time. It was “cheese”, I love cheese, so I was curious. LoL

  3. You are missing nothing by not seeing The Notebook. πŸ™‚
I don’t sleep on the couch every night, but my husband works in a different state and is only home a few days a week. The nights he’s home, I often end up in the spare room for the same reason – I’m a light sleeper and the snoring is BRUTAL!!
I remember things better when I write them down instead of using an app, and I twirled Flag in high school, too!

  4. Some of those made me laugh…lol. You didn’t miss anything by not watching the Notebook, only seen it once and that was really enough. I hate sappy make me cry endings. I use to not drink much water but I have cut out soda and so gotten use to it now, flavoring helps…lol. πŸ™‚

  5. Santa’s not real??? Wait… :(:(:(:

The dog water thing reminds me of when I was a kid, the neighbor kid ate some dog food in our garage once. I might have dared him… my parents were not amused.

LOL about Fridays, and the ticket too. Ha!

  6. I haven’t watched The Notebook either. I did read the book so I think I can keep my girl card but I didn’t feel the need to subject myself to the story twice. I loved the first Harry Potter book but was a bit underwhelmed by the 2nd so I think you’re okay there. Love your confessions! The parking ticket story is hilarious and that’s great you can twirl a mean broom. That would keep me entertained for hours!

  7. That’s interesting you never read the second book of Harry Potter, that’s atcually my favourite book and the one I re-read most often. And I hate public bathrooms or bathrooms in the train, unless I really can’t hold it, I don’t go. Unfortunately I had to use a train bathroom last time while traveling to my mom’s (it’s about 3 hours of a train journey) and the memories of that still scare me, it was horrid.

I’ve never seen The Notebook either, not even sure where the movie is about. I only know there is this picture from the movie about the couple kissing in the raint hat’s really popular. I don’t mind drinking water and drink it quite frequently. I never liked it until I went on this backpack trip to Luxembourg with school and I really learned to appreciate water then. If you’re thirsty from walking long water is the best. Ever since I haven’t had issues with water, I quite like it actually. Great post! It was fun to read these confessions and learn a bit more about you πŸ™‚

    • The first two movies were already out and I figured since I saw them I could just go on to book 3 which I was surprised that I was never confused. I have always wanted to read them all again but just never found the time. I should Audio them.

I had to go once so bad I went on the boardwalk because I couldn’t hold it, 2 days later I got really sick and the doctor said it was probably from a public bathroom. I even tried to avoid touching anything so it must have been in the air…EWWW!

Hot days I will drink water but it can’t be cold and needs to be some what room temp but I prefer Iced Tea or Coffee. I am not a fan of Soda at all.
