Bones, Bloggiesta and just a normal day ~ WIR & TSP

Posted September 20, 2015 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 15 Comments

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog & Real Life:

Had a FATAL ERROR on Saturday night! Then somehow my database password got changes and I was all kinds of freaking out. Apparently a plug-in I installed messed with the Tweak Me v2 and BOOM! I was down. I didn’t sleep at all last night I was freaking out but the amazing Ashley at Nozegraze.com helped me out, she really is the bestest ever!

I am on a Bone’s Binge, I can’t stop watching it, I am madly in love with Booth, more than I was when he was Angel. I usually watch it on TNT after work from 3 to 5 but they keep skipping episodes and going back to the beginning, it’s driving me crazy, so I figured why not Netflix it in order and now I am obsessed.

My son had an awesome first full week of school and I am so very proud of him. We still have some things to work out but we will get there in time. I know it’s just one week but this is a HUGE change from the beginning of the year and I am hopeful that this will continue.

This weekend was bloggiesta and I was able to do a bunch of stuff and am in a very good blogging place. With things at home settling down (fingers crossed it stays like this) I think I should be ahead by the end of this month or middle of next.

Otherwise this has been, just a NORMAL, Thank the GODS, week. My entire couple weeks of organizing has fallen apart a little but this weekend I jumped back on it and looking forward to next week.

  1. I love that picture of your daughter being “walked”. That is really cute! It’s good to hear you were able to fix your blog. I would lose sleep too. You got a lot of new ARCs that look really good but I am ignoring how tempting these are. I’ve been good so far to stay away from Netgalley and Edelweiss but you are making it really hard lol. I hope you enjoy these and have a great week!

  2. Yay to your son’s first week of school and yay to Bones! I used to love that show! They lost me a couple of seasons back but the older ones are amazing and the music is fantastic on it. I just got Wendy Darling and am so excited. I’ve read a couple of books from her in her Queen of Hearts series and really enjoyed them. Can’t wait to see what she does with Peter Pan. Have a great week!

    • The Seasons that lost you is the seasons I keep missing, I love the older ones too. I know this season coming up she is pregnant again (unless I am a season behind in my thinking) I love the music, such great songs.

I haven’t read any of her books yet so this will be my first, I am a sucker for Peter Pan retellings.

Oh, look at all those lovely books! Wendy Darling looks interesting. Oh, computer troubles. Eeeek. I’m glad Ashley was able to help and you got your site back up. I’d have been freaking out.

That picture of Dexter and Julia is adorable. 🙂 I’m glad Ryan’s first week of school went well and I hope that continues.

    Have a good week!

    • I went a little crazy 🙂

It was really scary and I may or may not have cried a lot.

She was so happy to walk him but even him being so small he still dragged her down the street. Fingers crossed this is a good year for him.

    • Oh I am so happy to hear that I just started getting into it.
Ashley is wonderful, I was a mess, she really helped calm my nerves. The plug-in was WP Author Box. I hate installing plugins but I tried the easy way and it cost me.
I love the relationship between Bones and Booth and he is just so friggin cute. I loved him as Angel but I think I love him more as Booth.

  4. Oh my, I am so glad that Ashley was able to help you out and you got your blog up and running. I seen your feed in my email and I was like YESSS, cause I knew it was fixed. I was so worried for you. 🙂

Looks like we both got a few books this week…I can’t believe how many I bought until I put them all in the post…lol.

    Have a great week! *hugs*

    • Me too! I couldn’t sleep all night thinking I lost everything and even everything from friday night would have been bad since I did so much. I am actually glad I couldn’t restore it and she was able to get me back because I didn’t lose anything.

I KNOW! I didn’t think it was that many either until I was done posting them all lol

  5. Netflix has kinda taken over my life, I used to hardly watch TV and now I’m finding all these shows I like. Argh- but I like it.

It’s that time of year for scary reads! I didn’t know Lauren Oliver co- wrote Curiosity House. Interesting…

    Have an awesome week!

    • I honestly never watch TV only Monday night Raw and FaceOff on SyFy. I will watch Hallmark during the christmas countdown for the movies but otherwise it’s all netflix.

It was really a good read. I never read any of her books and this was great. I loved her writing style. Need to check more of her books out.

  6. I hate it when my blog is down, even if it is for a short while, it always stresses me out and if there’s the risk you lose work it’s even worse. Which plugin was it that made it crash? Then I know to avoid that one.
I am so glad to hear your son had a great first week at school! That’s good news!

I might have to try out Bloggiesta next time it’s around, it sure sounds helpfull, but I always only seems to hear about it once it’s taking place. I did got a review and two recipe posts written on friday, so I did well with blogging this weekend.

Nice book haul you have this week! I got four new books this week, but already have read of them. I hope you have a great week!

    • It was the WP Author Box. I was trying to make my author box pretty and it had the best reviews but I guess it didn’t like the Tweak Me v2 theme. So it caused it to crash. Berls has css she uses for hers so I might see if she can give it to me so try on mine.

Bloggiesta is so much fun and I love the chats they have so informative, I need someone to explain FTP to me so I can get up my Vaultpress account (that’s my backup) I am glad I didn’t restore the blog and it was only the plug in otherwise I would have lost all my work I did since Friday.

I was surprised how many I got, I really didn’t think it was that many, now i need to get reading 🙂

  7. haha, you let Dexter take Julia for a walk? I hope they both appreciated that, Michelle!

I’m so happy you were able to get back on your blog! Ashley is definitely the bestest and the most awesomest! She’s helped me with some trouble in the past, too, and everything worked perfectly afterwards.

You did get many books this past week, but I can’t blame you, they look amazing.

Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading 🙂

    • Lol, she is so little that and he is little but he was dragging her down the street, it was funny to watch.

She was very comforting too and calmed me a lot, telling me to not worry all my content is still there that whatever was causing the crash (before I realized what it was) was causing my content not to show up. I was like a huge weight off my shoulder. I am now determined to find out everything possible on how to fix stuff and going to spend some time reading her blogging tips and other posts.

They do look amazing don’t they 🙂
