Book, Snow and a Birthday ~ WIR & TSP

On the blog:

I will be spending most of today visiting and blogging. I am excited to have read so much this week!!! I feel like I haven’t read anything since the new year started so it was nice to finally read a bunch of stuff, even if they were short, reads. Now I just need to get my blog two weeks ahead, still working on that. 🙂

I am trying to get some new design stuff done. I want to make planner stickers and/or designs for blogging that I might sell on my Etsy shop (I have some really cool ones in mind) but I am looking for a good sticker place that isn’t that expensive to have some printed but others will be just a download.  Sort of tired of seeing everyone else do exactly what I can do, sorry if that sounds rude but I am a bit down on myself for letting things slip through my fingers when I know I am capable of doing that stuff. 22 years of Graphic Design, I think I should be able to do a lot of things. Have to stop holding myself back, for whatever reason and thinking I am not good enough. 🙂

In Real life:

This week it snowed 8 inches…that was fun and it was my son’s 12th Birthday. It actually snowed on his birthday so he got a snow day. We waited until Saturday and we went for Lunch, not a shitty breakfast (that’s Easter) to the Rainforest Cafe. My son loves it so it’s worth it! 🙂 Otherwise the week was very quiet. I have trained myself so well with keeping my planner organized that I went one week without it and I am so confused and lost. I have been feeling so out of sorts and I blame it on my lack of using my planner last week. I am loving how organized it makes me and it only makes me more determined to not let that happen again. 🙂

What I’m Watching:

Well I finished Bones…I am all caught up and even was able to watch what is available for Season 12 (the final season) YES, I will admit I started over once I was done and I am not sorry. I really do love that show. I am finally finishing up Fuller House and will move onto something else. One thing that I am love is FaceOff on SyFy is back, it’s the competition of special effects makeup artists. I love this show and find it amazing what they can make. It’s a WWE night, so tonight we will be watching a PPV! 🙂

  1. That’s why i like short reads, they always make me feel like I read a lot. Even though in pages amount it might not be as much, but it still feels like a great when you finish a lot of books. I am glad you had a good reading week :).

Your design work is awesome! You really shouldn’t feel like your work isn’t good enough, because it’s great! I hope you can get a bit more design stuff done :).

We also got some snow last weekend and now it’s back to mild weather again. I hope your son had a great birthday!

I saw the supernormal sleuthing agency on edelweiss and considered getting it, but I already have so many books. it does sounds good though! I hope this week was a good one!

  2. I’ve been very lacking in the visiting and commenting, as you can see by this Wednesday night comment. Life is just too much right now. I hope you move forward with your sticker plan and sell the heck out of it on Etsy!

    • Lol, It is fine since my blog was down for two days 🙂 It just came back up so I haven’t been able to visit at all either!
I am hoping so also. I hope to have some by the spring all finished. I am working on them now among other things! 🙂

  3. Happy Birthday to your son!! I would love to see your Etsy store! I’ve also had ideas for the blog but procrastinate, then I get upset seeing someone else do what I wanted lol. I love your designs so I can’t wait to see your store.

  4. Bones used to be one of my absolute favorite shows but I think I stopped watching it after the baby was born in the stable. I didn’t really like Bones when she was pregnant so I just decided to let the show go. I’ve been thinking about revisiting because I absolutely loved the early seasons. Happy birthday to Ryan! I’m not a huge fan of Rainforest Cafe’s food but the atmosphere is so fun! Have a great week!

    • I wasn’t a fan of hearing they broke up but now that I watched it all through I am ok with EVERYTHING. I love the new FBI guy. He is adorable and cracks me up.

Food isn’t great but for once a year, I am good with going for him. lol

  5. Wow that is a lot of snow! At least your son got to enjoy it! We haven’t had a single snow day this year and I am not happy about that!
Oh I hope you make planner printables and stickers and stuff! I am a total junkie and have been scouring etsy for stuff.

    • I will be happy to send you our snow! 🙂

I am a junkie too, I have been creeping around looking for stuff to print out but I don’t have a printer so I can’t yet lol. Plan to get one this weekend and then I am printing some stuff and creating a few of my own. One I want to sell that is very bookish!

  6. I love Bones but for some reason I just haven’t watched last season or this season, I may have to do a rewatch when they are all the seasons are on netflix. 🙂 I tend to watch the same shows over and over cause I use it for background noise, it’s nice having voices I know in my home while I blog, etc….lol.

I am so glad that is not the weather we are having down here..ick. Glad Ryan had a great B-day! You got in some good reads! 🙂

    Have a great week!

    • I like it for background also but I tend to stop working and just watch it lol. I have to have no TV on when I blog otherwise I can’t think straight.

I will be happy to send you our weather, it’s getting on my nerves. I am thinking we might need to more to Florida. 🙂

    • It’s suppose to snow again this week and I might honestly say that I might be over snow. I love the winter and cold weather but I can live without the snow…I think.
The Midnight Ghost and Gold reminded me a little of Goonies. It was a cute book. I am excited to read Supernormal, I love Gwenda Bond so I am excited to read this! 🙂

  7. Wow 8 inches huh? I don’t know why we’re not getting more snow but I’m not complaining!! I haven’t been to the Rainforest Cafe in ages- I don’t really miss the food but the Volcano. Now that I miss! lol

Your books looks good, I like the look of Edge of Extinction especially. you seem to find all the good middle grades!

    • It was better than the +18 staten Island got but still 8 inches is fun for the kids and I do love winter but I might be over the snow.
I love the ribs at Rainforest, they might be my favorite. The Volcano is also very good. Plus they have to yell it very loudly.
You might enjoy Edge of Extinction. It was so good and the world build was amazing.
