Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Real Life & Blog News:
Last year I saw this book that pretty much had me at “look at my pretty cover” and I have been hooked ever since. How can I pass up a story about Lois Lane before meeting Clark, a YA that screams for me to read it. I have been stalking Netgalley and the Switch Press website just looking at this book, I have read the synopsis a million times and I was very close to sending Capstone Publishing an email (I have never emailed a publisher) to see if I can get an advanced copy but I chickened out. Well I saw on the website that it they had a giveaway for advanced copies and just for the hell of it I thought why not…LOOK WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL ON SATURDAY!!!
I SCREAMED with delight and was pretty much in complete shock! I have to now reorganize my reads because I am not sure I can wait to read this book! I am praying that I’m not disappointed and that my usual instincts of knowing a great book just by looking at it (it’s like a super power and it’s weird) aren’t wrong. This week was HORSESHIT and I can’t even explain how this totally made up for it.
And yes this was a really shitty week, a lot of things with my son, this is another bump in the road for us, however, this bump is HUGE but like always we will take it one day at a time and we will get through it…together.
Because of everything that has gone on I am again behind on my bloggy stuff but I got a bunch of stuff done of Friday and plan to be a very productive girl today with setting up posts and visiting all my favorite blogs. I am hoping to be a bit ahead so I can concentrate on Bloggiesta next weekend, fingers crossed this week is a lot better.

YAY for the Lois Lane book! I hadn’t even heard of it before I saw it on your instagram. It sounds excellent and came at a good time. I’m sorry you had a super cruddy week though!
Thank You! It really did come at a perfect time 🙂
Sorry about your crappy week. I hope you’re able to smooth out those bumps in the road very soon.

I never heard of Lois Lane: Fallout and I just added it to my TBR. This sounds really good and I hope you enjoy it!
Sorry to hear you had a bad week. I’m doing exactly as you are – take one day at a time and do the best you can. I hope you have a better week!
I love the idea of Lois not being in Clarks shadow and having a story of her own.
Thank you! One day at a time is for sure the right way to go. oxox
Sorry to hear you were having a crappy week, I hope things are better this week. That book looks really cool and I hadn’t heard of it so I had to go check it out..lol. I am glad that book made your day..week..month..lol. 😉

It may have made my year so far 🙂 The crappy stuff happens a lot in this house, this was just extra crappy but it happens. I hope to explain soon, just need to get over the crappiness before I can get into an explanation.
(((hugs back)))
WOO! Congrats on getting the book! I’m sorry to hear about your son, I hope things improve.
Thanks Bea! 🙂
I’m so sorry you had such a rough week! I hope things smooth out soon. You will get through it (whatever it is), but it can be hard while you’re going through a bad patch, I know. I’ll keep you in prayers! And how lovely to get such a great pick-me-up in the mail.
BTW, love how clean and streamlined your blog looks!
I’ll be able to explain soon, just a lot going on that I hope will calm down enough for me to tell whats going on. It was a wonderful mail surprise totally needed it 🙂
Thank you! When I wanted to change the blog around I never imagined making it look like this but it just kind of happened and I LOVE it. So happy with it all. Took me forever and I am still adjusting every so often but I am over the moon that it came out so clean and simple. It’s perfect 🙂
I certainly hope things get better for you and your family! *huggles*
And that book does sound quite awesome! I can see why you were so excited. 🙂

It’s a good feeling to get a book you’ve been waiting for, and anticipating, and even better when it turns out to be good! I hope this one is- and here’s to a better week. sorry last one sucked. 🙂
Thanks greg! I do hope this is a great book! I took a peak at the first couple of paragraphs and like the writing style so that is a huge PLUS lets hope the rest is just as good! 🙂
So exciting…I am glad you won and hope you love it. Hopefully the rest of the week isn’t as shitty as last week!
I hope so too, Kim 🙂 My husband got nervous when I started to scream lol He was like “really that’s it” he just doesn’t understand book mail excitement 🙂
Yay on the book! How great to get an ARC for a book you’re really excited about. And in print! So sorry that you’ve hit a bump in the road with your son but it sounds like your attitude is right for whatever challenge you may face. Hope this coming week is better for you!
I keep walking over to the bookcase to see if it’s still there lol I am so excited to have it 🙂
Thank you Katherine, sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough but simple statements like that really make me feel more confident about what I am trying to do, It is very much appreciated 🙂 oxox

Sorry to hear your week was horrible *hugs*. Yay for winning an ARC like that, I don’t think I ever got a physical ARC so I can imagine how exciting that must be, I hope you’ll enjoy it! I hope next week is better!
Thank you! He’s having a rough go my little guy but we will get through it (fingers crossed) Thank you, I have one an ARC but not one I wasn’t expecting and not one of a book that I wanted so bad it hurt to think I had to wait till it was released it May.
