Blogging News and Bookish  News:

  • I am still about a week ahead but I was able to visit some of you this week but just not comment because I didn’t have a chance too. I was using the app on my phone but it doesn’t really make it easy to comment so instead I spent some time reading posts and am going to find a better way to visit in the future. Next time I will try and share the posts so at least you know I was there.
  • I am hoping to spend the rest of today finishing up work I took home and also getting some blogging done so maybe I can be more than a week ahead.
  • Reading has been going pretty good now that when I work or play my game, my phone reads me the story. It’s so funny to have Siri read you a book especially when its nudie parts I turn into a teenager lol but it works and it is helping me read and work. I know what you are thinking, why not just listen to audio books? I just can’t get into them and the people that read them to you. This is just a voice that is one tone and I seem to just enjoy it better.

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Berls has some good stuff this week.
  • Review of Jedi Academy
  • Friday Five Bookish Recommendations ~ Reverse Harem because I am OBSESSED!!!!!

(Read, Currently Reading & Next)

What I grabbed

I was 100% sure I grabbed like 3 books this week and I can’t seem to remember or find the ones I got. I might have instead put them on my amazon wish list and didn’t actually purchase them. This has been a very long week! 😉

Off the Blog Updates:

  • Lots happened off the blog!!! Which is why I haven’t really been on the blog! 😉
  • The beginning of the week was just busy at work and of course I brought home work again this weekend. It’s good that I will get paid for what I take home but bad because it prevents me from doing blogging stuff, so I am still behind.
  • POKEMON GO! With the new update and daily quests, my son and I have been exploring the great outdoors looking for pokemon (secretly making us exercise). The weather has been pretty good and Friday and Sat was in the 80s but will drop down today to 40, *ugh!* which is community day for Pokemon Go. So we will be out today catching a Mareep, I hope, during the event. Saturday we spent almost all day hunting.
  • My daughter had opening day for Softball on Saturday, plus her first game. We were outside all day which is why we hunted pokemon and finished the day going out to dinner and ice cream.
  • The video game I play Star Stable teamed up with Nickelodeon and Jojo Siwa is now in the dance club with a new song. She was on dance moms and is a youtube person that my daughter enjoyed. I only know her from my daughter but it’s been so fun to stop by the dance club and let my Avatar Dance. My daughter and I have been having a lot of fun with it. I have my fingers crossed that them teaming with Nickelodeon mean big things and we can get more quests, horses and cool stuff. I am excited for them but I still have a ton of stuff to do in the game, I just like to take my time because I enjoy the game so much it’s like my relaxing, me time! I also let my phone read to me while I play so I can do both!
  • Friday the 13th lived up to it’s name……The external hard drive with all my client and design jobs has stopped working. I am praying the tech guy my dad knows can fix it or at least get my stuff off. I am going to get two more externals to back up all my back ups!! At the moment I am missing almost all of 2017, since I had the older stuff backed up someplace else. Pissed I didn’t do it sooner.
  • Someone stole my credit card number and spent $101.02 at Walmart. I don’t shop at Walmart so I figured it out as soon as I saw it. What a pain it was since I had to cancel my card, run to the bank to get another one and switch all my recurring payments to the new number and my husbands card, just so if this happens again, all the recurring isn’t on just one card.

  1. That’s too funny about Siri reading to you. I think the nudie parts would turn me into a teenager too! I like audio books but it took forever to make them work for me. I hate when technology fails me! Fingers crossed that you’re able to recover everything! Hope you’re having a great week.

    • They make me giggle. I just don’t focus enough to just listen, I need to read and listen.
I found a few things I missed, I am sure I will find more lol

  2. Goodness! Your life has been busy!! I hate all that credit card/identity fraud stuff. My husband had someone try to open a credit card in his name. I don’t like it. They had two of the three pieces of info they needed. Now we just have alerts on our accounts. Hopefully this week is calmer for you!

  3. Yay for Pokémon GO! We get out more, too. And we did get Mareep and the evolutions including the shinies! So, woot!

I seriously need to back up my computer. I have stuff saved to a disk, but I need to update that and look into an external hard drive. It’s on my list of little shit that needs doing. *sigh*

Finally, people are assholes. I want to break all the fingers and toes of people who steal credit cards (or just the info) and identities. Seriously. I do. Grrrr!

I hope this week is much better, Michelle! xoxox

  4. I’m glad you’re enjoying having Siri read to you, but I had to laugh because what you like about it—that it’s one voice, without changing tone and inflection for different characters—is exactly what would drive me up the wall.

Sorry to hear about your credit card and hardware woes. Either one would be a pain; both in one week seems monstrously unfair! I’ve had my credit card number stolen more than once (once, the new number was stolen before we even received the replacement card in the mail!) and it’s always a hassle, though fortunately our company is pretty good about it.

  5. Lol about Siri, I’ve never done that but hey why not? I can’t really do audio either- I get distracted- but maybe siri would work!

Pokemon GO sounds fun, and yay for 80’s! I could use some 80’s even though I complain about heat. We had sleet and a winter storm warning last night, so yeah… 🙂

I’ve had that identity theft thing happen twice now! It’s so aggravating and people are pigs lol (at least the ones who do that). Ha

    Have a super week!

    • I like to follow along with her and if I need to look away I can. It’s easier for me to follow along like that instead of having someone read it to me. My mind wonder to much.

It’s been freezing this week so we only played a little. Can’t wait for better weather.

  6. Glad to hear you’re still ahead and got to visit some blogs this week, even tough you werne’t able to comment. It’s so hard to find time for blog visiting sometimes. That’s great your reading is going well and that having Siri read the book to you works.

What a busy week you had off the blog. That sounds nice how you’re playing Pokémon Go again and that the Star Stables game had a dance update. I am sorry to hear about your bad Friday the 13th. Good reminder about the back-up. I am thinking of getting another back-up as well maybe, just so I always have 2 backups. That’s annoying your credit card got stolen, but that’s good you figured it out so quickly and could cancel it.

I hope next week is a good one!

    • Feel like the busy hasn’t stopped yet. Taking home work again and it seems like it might be this way for a couple more weeks. I have stuff to finish this weekend for design so I might not be able to do a lot at home. I have been negecting a lot lol

Still waiting to here if my external can be saved. I have my fingers crossed.

  7. My oldest is so into Pokemon it makes me laugh. You have me giggling about the audiobook issue and listing to Siri read them instead. Maybe you just haven’t found the right narrator.

    • I did enjoy the Ever After Series on Audio that I listen to with the kids but otherwise I just can’t listen to something without following along. She makes exaggerations but they way she reads it I follow a lot better. Another blogger had given me the idea because she listens to it this way.

  8. HAHAHaha I had a good laugh over the Pokemon Go story. The Mister and I were heading out to the store last Sunday and there was a group of like 5 people just randomly standing on the side of the road all looking at their phones. One girl was just smashing the crap out of her phone. I asked the Mister if the Pokemon game became popular again or something since it seemed odd and out of place. He figured they must have updated game with new stuff. LoL It’s been so long since I’ve seen clusters of people standing around that it took us by surprise. Good to know the game is back with new material. I think it’s great that it gets people outside.

    • My son and I love the game and the changes give the game so much more potential to get more people playing. We are already planning trips to find new ones this summer. It’s a fun activity to do with my son and it gets us talking and helps him to relieve some stress/anxiety. 🙂

  9. Oh I hate when someone manages to steal my CC info! Its a huge pain!!! Why do people have to suck like that? Hopefully this week is better! Enjoy your binge reading of the Jasmine Walt books!

    • I keep getting emails about payments I forget to change. It’s so annoying. I think I got them all! lol.
      I am LOVING Jasmine Walt!

  10. Ugh, Friday the 13th really did strike! I’m sorry about the credit card, that’s a pain in the butt. I almost always miss a payment when I have to go through switching them over like that 🙁 I’m LMAO that you’d rather a monotone voice read to you than an actor that brings the characters to life! To each her own I guess, but that would have me swearing off books! Hugs!!! Have fun Pokemon hunting 🙂

    • I will probably miss something , I already think I have because I can’t remember everything I had . lol
I read as she reads so I think that is why it works for me. Audio I can’t read at the same time because I don’t focus like normal people. I think I am undiagnosed ADD. I can only focus on something for a short period of time before moving on to something else and then going back. So this way I don’t have to keep stop and going, if I miss something, I can just pause it and read it again. 🙂
Ryan is looking forward to going out, he wants to stay out the entire 3 hours but I said maybe hour and a half so I can cook dinner. lol

  11. I’m glad you got the credit card theft sorted out so quickly, even if it was a hassle to have to do it at all! My bank calls me if I have a weird charge, and once, it even blocked my card while I was traveling. That was really no fun at all – especially because I had put extra money on my card for my trip…
I hope your external hard drive can be saved! Computers are a godsend most of the time, but my goodness, once something happens, it’s usually fairly big.
    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. Miss your face! {{{hugs}}}

    • It was such a small purchase I think that only I would have noticed. I am sure if it was something a lot bigger I would have been notified. I think because it was still a pending purchase that it was easy to get rid. If it had gone through already they it would have been an even bigger hassle because I had to fight it.

I do love technology but it still scares me how easily things can disappear. We don’t think to backup a million time and I wish I would have done it at the beginning of the year like I wanted. Fingers crossed!
