This time for COYER we’ve changed things a bit – and one change is that when you sign-up you need to link to your post saying that you’re joining in. This can be really detailed (like what I’m doing below or on FB, Goodreads, etc) or you can get super simple (like Berls doing – check out her example). The point is to give us a link to something specific indicating that your joining us. Let either of us know if you have questions! We’re looking forward to it and hope everyone will have a blast!

I am so very happy that we decided to do COYER this way for the summer. I last year I did a summer reading list and followed along the list the entire summer but this makes the list so much more and I am so happy we decided to do it.

So for this challenge since COYER is on Vacation and all reads are welcome I have decided to make this a week by week read. What does that mean? Well let me explain because it might be something you would like to do to. I honestly think it will help me get thought a very LARGE chunk of my reads I have in my possession. I don’t plan to add anything (I hope) and will not be taking any review requests until after September. I will only be reading the review requests I already have.

Ok so here is what I plan to do

Each week I will pick two types of books to read. I’m not putting the actual books that I will be read since I’m not sure what I plan to read from now until then.

Example: One book from my book shelf and One book from my Amazon Downloads or One Book Edelweiss
then the next week I will pick a Netgalley read,Β  a Review read and/or purchase (if I have any) and so on.

Each week will be a different group. Now this isn’t want you have to do but this is what I plan to do. Then with the Mini Read-a-thon on the weekend if I am done with 2 or 3 books, I will join in or just read something else. The books have not been picked just where they will be coming from.

Now if you look up in the tabs above you will find the Summer Reading Tab (to come) this is were you can see what I plan to read each week and I will be updating it as much as possible to keep everyone updated on the actual books I will read. Plus you an always check my Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads for updates on what I am reading. I also plan to put the Goodreads lists on the side panel so you can see what I read!

I am also trying to find a day to do an update post. Since on the weekends I usually wont be around I might post an update every friday but this is a maybe and if I will have time. Since I will be wanting to keep up with all my reviews as well.

Book List

So now I have already made the list of places the books will come from so here it is:

  • June 21-27Β  – On my Shelf and Netgalley and/or Edelweiss
  • June 28 – July 4 – Netgalley and One the Shelf
  • July 5 – 11 – Edelweiss and Netgalley
  • July 12 – 18 – Netgalley and/or Edelweiss and On The Shelf
  • July 19 – 25 – Edelweiss and Netgalley and/or On The Shelf
  • July 26 – Aug 1 – Netgalley and Edelweiss
  • Aug 2 – 8 – One the Shelf and Edelwiess
  • Aug 9 – 15 – One The Shelf and Edelweiss and/or Netgalley
  • Aug 16 – 22 – Edelweiss and Netgalley
  • Aug 23 – Aug 29 – Netgalley and/or Edelweiss and/or On My Shelf
  • Aug 30 – Sept 5 – Netgalley and/or Edelwiess and/or On My Shelf

I wont lie this isn’t set in stone and my mood might make me adjust what I am planning to read, I am just hoping to read as much as I can this summer.

I am so hoping you will be able to join us for this COYER Challenge it is going to be so much fun and we have so many awesome prizes to give away. Can’t wait to see what you all plan to read this time around!

Have a great day and Happy Reading!!!

  1. I really love how you constructed your plan – because usually I end up listing a million books (that I know I won’t read ALL of) just because I am not sure what I will be in the mood for at the time, or what whimsy will strike me! πŸ˜€ We’re definitely in for this, just need to get my post together to sign up πŸ™‚

    • So glad you are going to join us. Last time I did a list of books but kept changing it so I thought this way would be a lot better.

  2. Michelle, this is a great idea — a plan that offers you some flexibility but tackles all your TBR types, instead of just one. I’m going to give this some thought — maybe do one ARC and one unread book from my shelves/Kindle per week.

    • I have so many books all over I figured this was the easiest way to get thought them! Sticking with your ereader is a great idea if I can get through the few on my shelf it will be all ereader after that….so glad you are joining us again πŸ˜€

      • I’ve actually been reading pretty much only books from my shelves in preparation for this! I figured I could clear off my shelves, and then work on clearing my Kindle during the summer.

    • Me too, I think I’m going to start figuring out what I am going to read for the next couple of weeks so I know what books to read for COYER. I can’t wait for it to start!!!
