CoyerSummerVacation

Summer’s around the corner and you know what that means? SUMMER VACATION! It’s time to take a break from the work and rules and just let loose! And COYER’s going on Summer Vacation too!

What does that mean exactly?

That we’re throwing away all most of the rules! You ready?!

COYER Summer Vacation

COYER Summer Vacation will start on the first day of summer and end the weekend after labor day. So that’s June 21st – September 5th!

On September 6th we will announce the winners of TWO $10 Giftcards for Amazon or Barnes & Noble. There will be several opportunities for other prizes throughout the event.

The Rules

1. You must create a sign-up post anytime between now and August 15th -on blog, goodreads, fb, google+, etc. Yes, that means you can sign up
until August 15th! But don’t wait, you’ll miss most of the fun!

2. You must link the sign-up post below (don’t link to your blog, link to the sign-up post).

3. You must post your review books somewhere & link the reviews to the review linky to be eligible for one of the grand prize giveaways.

4. Have Fun!

Normally you’re only allowed to read eBooks that were less than $5 for COYER, but since this is Summer Vacation you can read whatever you want! To be clear, here are some questions you may be asking…

  • Can I read a book that cost $10? Yes!
  • Are Tour books and Author Review books ok? Yes! Yes!
  • Can I read a paperback? An audio book? An eBook? Yes! Yes! Yes!

Getting the idea? There really are very few rules here. We won’t even have a rafflecopter, to keep things as easy as possible. Instead we’ll be using random.org with the sign-up and review linky (each entry on a linky will be worth 1 entry). So if you’ve added your link there, you’re in the giveaway.

Note: You MUST have a sign-up post! This is different than normal! Since we’re trying to keep things super simple you sign up once, with your sign up post. You can have a post just declaring your intention to participate and you can later update (or repost) with your goals. Or if you know your goals now, go ahead a post them. Here’s an example of both kind of sign-up post:

Other Fun Challenges for COYER Summer Vacation

So all the above is ALL you have to do to participate and win prizes with COYER Summer Vacation. But, if you’re looking for some more fun, we’re going to have some themed readathons, twitter parties (#COYER), and Facebook chats scattered throughout the summer. Join in on 1 of them, all of them, or none of them. It’s up to you!

Readathons

Any books read during a readathon can count for COYER as long as you review them. But the readathons will just be about reading. We’ll publish posts on the Monday prior to each readathon reminding you to join in and letting you sign up. You’ll be able to join in, even if you aren’t doing COYER Summer Vacation, too!

Here’s the schedule so you can start planning what you’ll read:

July 4th – 6th: Fun in the Sun!
Read books with the beach or ocean/lake/etc on the cover to get into a summer vacation mood!

July 11th – 13th: Fairy Tales with a Twist

  1. So excited to be doing my first COYER! I usually don’t keep track of how much I paid for books and which ones were free. I’m digging down into the books that have been on my Kindle the longest to clear out some of those.

    • That’s a great idea, I have so many on my kindle but I think I am going to stick with the Netgalley and Edelweiss plus my shelf reads since I have so many ๐Ÿ™‚ Good Luck! SO happy you are joining us ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully my entry is okay. Let me know if I need to add anything.

I don’t mind that it is for a longer time period. However I do prefer it to be only e-books. It got me of my butt to do a lot of review books.

    • I will look over your post but I am sure it’s fine. You can totally stick to just ebooks if you want, the good thing about this is you have the freedom to set the rules are you want. I my plan is to try and do a little from each area since I am so behind on my shelf reads this will help me get thought all the arcs i never got to on my shelf ๐Ÿ™‚ I am glad you are joining us!!

    • I am so glad everyone is liking it, we were so worried making it longer and throwing in read a thons and throwing out the rules people wouldn’t be upset but I love you are all excited for it ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t wait for it to start.
