Blogging, Bookish and Real Life  News:

Did you change your clocks if you live in the US? Early nights, chilly weather, steaming cups of cocoa. This is my FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR!

Halloween was nice the kids didn’t want to go out, so we took this year off. We celebrated my daughters 11th Birthday at Applebees and had a family party on Saturday. Today she has an early game so I will visit later. 🙂

50 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! I’m so excited! 🙂 October just flew by and now we get into the most magical time of the year. Yes I am sort of skipping over Thanksgiving but if you know me, you know how much I love Christmas time. The Halloween decorations are down and I have three weeks to get the house ready for Christmas decorations. The Kittens are going to be so confused but I am PRAYING they are good. They did so good with the Halloween Decorations I am hoping they do the same with Christmas. We are planning to wire the tree to the wall, that is what we did when we got Buttons and it worked, so I am hoping it will with them but they are in their kitten equivalent of  ” the terrible twos” right now so this should be interesting. Going to cut back on what we put out and keep a lot of the fragile stuff up a lot higher.

Next weekend I start to paint my sons room and clean it all up. Because of his sensory issues he tends to peel paint from the walls so his room needs a fresh painting and a complete redo. He requested red but I refuse to paint it all red, so we are going to do one wall red and the rest with a nice grey. That way he gets his red and I get a nice looking boys room. My daughter once again needs redo in her room which I will do after his is done. Things I like to do last minute and right before Thanksgiving. I really need to plan better lol.

Once I have a free weekend I can get back to making sure I have enough blog posts for the rest of the year. I feel like every weekend is over before it even starts.

DID YOU SEE!!! COYER Website got a make over AND Coyer Winter Sign ups are NOW LIVE! That is correct we are starting early this year. I think I mentioned it already here that the COYER website will now host all Berls and my crazy challenges. All our old Challenges will be back next year with one or two new ones. 1. It has been a while since we decorated a Christmas tree because my cats don’t behave well – well, the younger ones don’t behave very well and they steal the decorations and throw the tree to the ground.

Enjoy your new books! Happy readings! 😉

  2. I don’t need Christmas decorations because my neighbors have their lights on in my backyard since August! They have a tree already also. We did decorate for Halloween. In fact I left the cobwebs all over the front of the house since June so it was very authentic looking. LOL

I can’t wait to have 2 days off together since I have worked every weekend for months. I’m so excited to actually get organized and do Read a Series in a Month, write my COYER post. It’s going to be a great month. I need to take a moment and be thankful!

Have a great week! Anne – Books of My Heart

  3. We always have lucked out with our cats around decorations. Leave them on the floor and they’re fair game, but a tree or up in the tree and they are fine. Yikes! Two painting projects. That will keep you busy.

Enjoying my Can You Read a Series book and geared up for COYER already. 🙂

    Have a good week, Michelle!

    • I am hoping it will be once it’s up they wont bother with it. I do have a few pieces I put on the floor but they are usually just something that they can sniff. They might be more scared of it than anything. I hope 🙂

I am actually looking forward to the projects. Might grab myself an audio book to listen to while I do it. Since I am doing it alone.

Glad you are enjoying, I am loving my book too.

  4. Oh my kitties and Christmas decorations- we had that problem a couple years ago when we got these two crazies we have now, Good luck! 🙂

And glad you had a good Halloween even if you didn’t go out. Sometimes it’s fun just to stay home and chill. 🙂

    Have a great week Michelle!

  5. Shame on your for skipping Thanksgiving!!! You and your Christmas…I say bah humbug! 😉 Love you anyway! 🙂 If I could I would hibernate from now till Jan. 2nd. 🙂 The books you got look super cool! Oh and hope you cats don’t do to much kitten damage to your decorations!

    • I love turkey but for me it’s all about the man in the big red suit. 🙂 my daughter already started reading hers. I probably won’t get to them soon but I’m looking forward to reading them.
      I hope so too!

  6. I took down Halloween stuff yesterday and put out the Thanksgiving stuff. Just on the mantel and breakfast bar since I only have one tub of decorations. Christmas is the holiday I have many tubs of decorations. lol Good luck with the kitties. Ours have never bothered the tree or anything else. They have broken a few ornaments, but only because their tails hit them when they go under the tree (to lay not climb). So I started putting breakables higher and others lower. Vengeance’s tail sometimes also wipes some out, so the cats aren’t the only culprits. lol

Red and grey sounds awesome! OSU colors. LOL I hope we get pics when it’s done. Good luck with their rooms. I need to do some cleaning and purging and I really need to finish painting. Ugh.

I hope you have a fantasic week, Michelle! XOXO

  7. Of course if you go to Barnes and Nobles for your daughter you’d grab something for you too LOL I am dangerous inside a bookstore as I often leave with more books than I can hold! Good luck with your painting project 😉

    • I have never walked out of Barnes & Nobles without buying something and finding a good excuse to why I had to have it. lol
I am looking forward to doing his room, it’s stressing me out how messy it is at the moment! 🙂

  8. Haha, that animation sounds like it’s very you. Red and grey is a lovely combination and a good compromise, so good luck with the decorating. And the Christmas planning! Eeekk, this grinch is horrified! 😀

    • Lol if the family would let me I would decorate today but the earliest they will let me is the day after Thanksgiving. They are really no fun.
Yes, I can’t imagine paint his entire room red, I don’t think he would like it and it would make the room so dark. I found some nice colors so I am hoping it works like I see it in my head. 😀

  9. I’m so excited for Christmas too! Halloween was fun but this is my favourite time of year. I feel your pain about kittens and decorations… This will be my kittens first Christmas and she’s a miscreant! I already know she’s going to attack all the shiny dangly bits but I’m hoping she surprises me and doesn’t!
