Off the Blog:

So like what happened to January? I think I missed it….

Things are starting to settle down now that we took the steps to better our lives, what I didn’t realize was how boring it would become. 🙂 Nothing to stress or worry about sort of makes things boring and I will be honest, I am totally ok with being boring at the moment.

The most exciting thing that happen this week was I started an Instagram page for Dexter and Biscuit. It is run by myself and my daughter. We figured he is a bit of a drama dog and would be fun to capture his fun moments, plus Biscuit is adorable. The page is called The Parsons Pets so it will feature whatever animal we have in the house. If I don’t stop going on Petfinder we might have another addition sooner than I would like. We are trying…VERY hard to wait until September to get a kitten but they have so many that are SOOOOOO cute. The struggle is real! I am seriously still missing Buttons so much, but I think it would be better for me to wait, at least until after summer when we aren’t going to the shore house every weekend.

Blogging News and Updates:

I did pretty good this weekend with posts and I am surprised that I started to have ideas for posts I want to do. It’s been a year since I have had any ideas so I am excited about it. Now sure when I will do them but with Bloggiesta next week I might be able to squeeze some out during the challenge.

I got a chance to visit some people this week and it seems for now it might only be one or two days that I can do that. My issues is that I need to be on the computer to visit and can’t visit from my phone. However, I think I found a way to actually get back to visiting since I totally miss reading blog posts.

I’ve been very busy with design work this last week and have a few projects I will be starting this week. I also have a couple premade covers I need to finish. I recently did a cover for an author and she has asked me to do two more for her. I am nervous and excited! I am finally doing what I love and it am over the moon about it! I also have lots of ideas for Limabean Designs, I just need to organize them all. I am hoping to have the website updated and the new stuff up by May or June, but working all day and taking care of the family that can’t do anything without me, it takes me longer to do stuff, but it is what it is, I will make it work! 🙂 I am so excited!

Bookish News and What I grabbed

It took me forever to read Hunting Prince Dracula. She has an amazing way of writing and the banter between the characters was great. I didn’t LOVE it as much as the first one but it was pretty awesome. Spindle Fire was from my TBR List and I just wasn’t able to finish it, however I am currently devouring it because I actually am really interested in the story and are really liking the two main characters.

I am in serious need of a genre change so I am switching to, Fantasy. I decided that next month TBR List will be fantasy also. I just feel like I need it right now, plus the read what I want thing I decided to do is working. The first month might have been a slow reading month but OMG, I am so into reading and I haven’t felt this way in so long.

  1. Boring is not bad at all sometimes. 🙂 I hope things continue on an even keel for you. I’m excited for this Bloggiesta – I just may participate. 🙂 And I’m happy to see Hunting Prince Dracula was a good read even if it wasn’t as good as the first one. Oh! I followed The Parsons Pets. 😀 Have a great week, Michelle! {{{hugs}}}

  2. I had a pretty boring week too and I’m hoping this week goes the same way! It’s nice to be done with all the Christmas craziness and back to regular routines. I feel your pain on the kitten issue. I’m not sure there’s anything cuter than a kitten and I’m not really a cat person. Parsons Pets sounds really cute! Have a great week!

  3. I’m pretty boring so that is one of the reasons I switched to a monthly wrap-up lol. But boring is good (it means no family drama for me lol). I also can only visit blogs one or two days a week, but I try to fit in as much as I can. I have to check out your new instagram. My daughter also started an account for our dog. I hope you have a great week!

  4. I am 100% happy with my boring life. I do what I want when I want to do it. The Man is so chill, if we decided we don’t want to go out like planned, we’ll order Five Guys or pizza or something and watch Shark Tank or Hell’s Kitchen. I love it! I get to hang out in the living room all weekend and work on my projects and get up and go when I need to. I may not do this first round of Bloggiesta like I had wanted to. Saturday is our UIL competition so I will be at the host school all day and then have an hour drive to get home. I think I will unofficially participate…and do things on a different day. I am so excited and happy for your LBD! I would love to get myself together enough to start a tour company. I have thought about it for about 4 years, but I definitely have to have a different career where I have set hours and don’t take work home. I hope you have a great week and get a lot accomplished!

  5. Sometimes boring is definitely a good thing. And that sounds good how you took some steps to better your life. I started following your Instagram pets account, those pictures you have so far on there are great! Your pets are so cute.

And that’s nice you might get a new kitten later this year. Can’t you take a cat with you to the shore house or doesn’t that work? Just curious.

I still miss our rats, so I know what you’re going through with missing Buttons :(.

That’s great you have so many posts ideas! And I am so happy to hear your business is going well and an author hired you to do her covers! That’s so awesome! And I can’t wait to hear what more you have planned. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help spread the word!

    Have a great week!

    • My daughter asked for so long to make an account and I figured why not. Good Hobby for her to have and I do love taking pictures of them.

My Dad, my sister and nephew are allergic to cats so I can’t take it with me. Plus the layout of the house I would be scared it would try and get out. We have a big sliding glass door that they open and close. The dog is ok to go in and out but a cat I would be scared would run away or wander off.

I do and I am so happy about it. I need to take some time to write them down and organize. Also for LD, I just have to work it out, sometimes it’s hard to write down what I have running in my head! LOL

  6. Is it weird that I kind of wish I had a boring week? Things are rather frantic at work these days, but everything is good. I could do with some slower weeks pretty soon, though.
Oh, you need to stay far away from websites with kittens if you don’t want to get one yet… it is impossible to resist those tiny furballs with their big eyes.
Congrats on getting two more covers to make for an author! How exciting! You can do it, Michelle.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • Compared to last year, I am ok with boring, the stress is much better and I feel better so I am totally ok with slow and boring! LOL

I am not ready for one but OMG this one was so cute and I hate to not be able to give it a home. I just don’t know if we could do it now but I am really missing having a cat. Buttons was a great cat and I really miss her.

Thank you! I am so excited about it and hope it opens up more doors. It’s what I have always wanted to do.

  7. Congrats on the covers! And good luck with waiting for a kitten- they are hard to resist when they’re all cute and mewling at you. We go to the pet store where they do adoptions and it’s hard to leave without one, and we have three already.

Fantasy is the best, I def want to read more of it in 2018.

    Contagion looks awesome!

  8. I would have a whole zoo of animals if I could. We used to have 3 cats, a dog, tortoise, and fish but over the years two of my kitties passed away and now we are more on the normal scale of things. I’d love to adopt another cat but my lil girl is a terror and has already let us know that now that she’s top animal in the house (she was the youngest of the cats) she will not be sharing living quarters with any new residents. Which is for the best since we are looking to move this summer anyways and we’ve never done a move with the dog before. Something tells me things could get interesting with a cat, dog, tortoise, and fish in the back of the vehicle for a cross country move.

  9. Hunting Prince Dracula…OOO…Must read! I have added a bunch of books this week. I post daily free ebooks. But, I also review and have started doing that. I am currently reading Dead Lemon by Finn Bell a thriller and I really like it. Great book haul this week!

Have a great week of reading!
