WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

I think it’s SPRING FINALLY! Saturday was gorgeous! and today is going to be just a lovely! Windows are all open and I started cleaning out the closet to switch winter to summer clothes! YAY!!

This week was not a very productive week, my son was home all week on Spring Break so when I got home from work he demanded my attention which isn’t a bad thing but it limits my time for doing anything else. He goes back to school this week so my blogging schedule can resume as normal. I have found a way to get my stuff done and not make it so stressful, I tried it a little this week more through observation than actually doing. I am very excited about it and Fridays (my day off) is back to being my blogging day (all day) not that the kids are both back in school.

Wednesday I spend some time doing HTML/CSS on code academy and I ACED it. I was so proud of myself and plan to start the course over again this week to start from the beginning. It’s a great refresher and then I plan to finish the course that Ashley @NozeGraze had last year about designing blogs. I am really looking forward to figuring that out so I can start offering that in Limabean Designs, when I finally get it started, have some personal stuff to take care of before I can really get into it but soon enough I will either have a website up or just a page with a contact form but if anyone needs anything in the mean time please don’t hesitate to ask, I would be over the moon to help you out and create something awesome for you. I have even been working on a few Cover Designs and can’t wait to be able to start doing that as well. Looking for a change and this is what I have my heart set on doing and I have my fingers crossed it works out like I hope. πŸ™‚

On Monday I posted a topic post about Physical and E-books, I posted a poll to see what everyone thought and which one they would pick if they could only choose one. And the Winner was EBOOKS! πŸ™‚ As much as we all love the Physical Books I think the convenience of the e-book is what made it win hands down.

Psssst!

Guess What!

About Michelle

I am a mom to two pretty amazing kids, four pretty cute fluffy children and a wife to one adorable husband. I am a gamer, reader and a graphic designer with 20 years experience. I recently started my own business "Limabean Designs" to help other bloggers, authors and anyone else create amazing things that they would be proud to show off. I have been reading since forever and started blogging because I love sharing all the awesome books this world has to offer. I am also the co-host for the COYER Challenge, Reading Assignment Challenge and the Bookish Resolutions Challenge. I try to create a warm welcoming environment on my blog where authors, readers, and bloggers will have a great time. Let’s chat books, games, blogging, recipes, design, or family over a cup of coffee and a glass of wine!

      • It ok, thank you for visiting. I always go back to the last post but when I visit a blog I like to visit the whole blog not just a post πŸ™‚ I will stop by to check it our! Have a great day, Lisa!

  1. We’ve had amazing weather here for the past few weeks, its been getting on for 20 degrees C (this is England and April, we normally have 10 degrees and rain this time of year!)

So excited for COYER to be back! Felt kind of lost without it! (Well and with only doing bare minimum blogging, hence why I’m about to go all stalkerish now!)

  2. Hooray for acing the coding class! That’s exciting! One step closer to coding awesomeness! πŸ˜€

I cannot wait for the next COYER!!! Can it get here already?!?!?

  3. Oh you got great books at B&N! Don’t Stay Up Late was a nice walk back into Fear Street but it wasn’t nothing to be wowed about. Felt more MG than YA, but I still enjoyed it. πŸ™‚ You did much better than me by only getting one EW book, though I am totally blaming my EW raid on you. πŸ˜‰

    Have a great week!

  4. Spring has definitely arrived here, too, I can’t stop sneezing! But it’s all good, it’s nice and warm outside, and that just feels so good.

You got some pretty awesome books this week, Michelle, and I hope they’ll all blow your socks off!

I’m a little concerned about the COYER logo… why is it scavenger hunt? Will the whole challenge be like a scavenger hunt? Or is this just to scare me?

I hope you’ll have a wonderful week ahead, happy reaidng πŸ™‚

    • Don’t be concerned we would never take away the fun of the original summer COYER we just added in something different. You will be fine πŸ˜‰

I was pretty excited about the books, I am hoping they don’t sit on my shelf for to long so I plan to so a little schedule of book reading this week to see if I can get a little more organized. I have lived in Organized chaos for so long I think I need to start making it less…chaos πŸ™‚

  5. I would be happy to make it similar to the logos I made you πŸ™‚ Whenever you are ready to have it done, let me know!

I still have issues solving stuff myself, Ashley is a great help and google is very helpful too πŸ™‚ Css is the hardest thing to learn when it comes to HTML and for some reason I find it easier than CSS, I am always backwards.

Thank you! I can’t wait to share it with you. It’s going to be a lot of fun!!!

  6. We had some nice weather this week as well, I always love spring with the warmer weather and the tree turning green again. I hope it was nice to have your kids home during spring break even though it was not a very productive week.

I’ve actually been thinking on maybe asking you to design a new header for Lola’s Reviews, I love my pony and want to keep that, but maybe something more in the style of those banners you designed for me as I love those. I keep changing my mind though and not sure what exactly I want.

And that’s great you aced that html/ CSS part. My knowledge of html is okay, but I really want to broaden my knowlegde to CSS as well. A few weeks ago Ashley had a post were you could ask her html/ CSS questions and easily solved an issue I had on Lola’s Blog Tours for a while. It would be nice to be able to solve those things myself.

And I love the next Coyer logo and can’t wait for the sign-ups to open! And I cna’t wait to see what’s new and different this time.
