Off the Blog, Blogging News and Updates:

Well lets just agree that January is a FREE trial month and Feb 1st is the start of a new year. We are almost done with Jan and I have accomplished NOTHING! 🙂 The best part about it is that I am totally ok with it. I am ok with the slowness of life right now even my reading is a little slow but the good thing is, I want to read, even if slowly. I am excited to read so I can officially say my slump is GONE! but it looks like some challenges are off to a slow start, it’s ok since I co-host all of them anyway. 😉 Hoping to get a lot of blogging done in the next few days, however I can officially call Jan a bust and will start making posts for Feb and on since it easier to move forward than it is to catch up.

So this week the weather was stupid and we froze but today and yesterday it’s like 50. I don’t even know what season I am ready for anymore because this winter has me all confused.

I have something exciting to tell you….I am now officially the co-host for Bloggiesta…I also made Berls come with me….well she volunteered but since we don’t think we host enough stuff we added one more. 🙂 We are actually helping Emily @ Emily Reads Everything,we plan to try and get bloggiesta back to what it was a few years ago. I am excited about it and looking forward to working with Emily and of course Berls (but I work with her all the time, so that part it’s really that exciting) 😉

  1. Sometimes it’s good when things are a bit slow and that’s great you want to read if slowly. It’s annoying when the weather flip flops like that, it’s hard to keep up and know what to wear. You sure are keeping busy with all the challenges and now you also added Blogiesta. I hope it will be fun helping organize that. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  2. This month has been a slow start, Michelle, so I’m down with calling it a free trial. 😉 Sky, my oldest, just went back to college last Thursday so I guess I can officially get started on things. I’m excited your co-hosting Bloggiesta. I know I’ve seen it around but I don’t know much about it. I’ll have to check it out. Of course, I’m going to be out of town that weekend so…. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think about Hunting Prince Dracula. That’s something I want to read myself. Oh, and stupid weather. Yeah, we’ve had it too in Colorado. We were ~50 on Friday and yesterday we got a foot of snow. *sigh* I’m not complaining about the snow though. I happen to love it! 🙂
    Hope your week is off to a great start! I miss you!!!! {{{hugs}}}

  3. Haha, well according to my work, January is a free preview month! We are changing the start of our fiscal year and so January is just this little month all on it’s own.
But seriously I have completed 1 book this month because of everything else that has been going on, so I would love to consider it a free trial for the year as well.

  4. Yay for getting out of your reading slump! That’s always a great feeling 🙂 I signed up for COYER this time round, but haven’t participated at all because I’ve been hooked on one series that I just have to keep reading. Oops! I will have to keep Bloggiesta in mind for next month.

I hope you have a great week ahead!

  5. Yeah January definitely needs to be the free trial month. I’ve got nothing done that I had on my list. But, like you, I’m ok with that. I’m slowly getting there and that’s fine. I’ve read very little which isn’t fine with me though. I miss it. lol But once I get some of this chaos organized I think I can get all my ducks quacking in a semi-orderly row. 🙂

Have a wonderful week, Michelle! XO

  6. Hey congrats on Bloggiesta! I may even try it one of these times lol. And glad you got some 50’s! We’re still a bit colder than that and I’m totally done with winter. Yup, done, finito, history, the archives, sayonara- no more winter. Alas Michigan will not cooperate…

A conspiracy of Stars looks good. And yay for slow reading! Slow is good. January as a trial month- I’m all for that. 🙂

    • Thanks and you should. It really help get organized and also with parties are informative, everyone usually has great info and good to bounce ideas off of.
I am done with winter, I just want it to be between 40 and 60 for at least a few months.
I am ok with reading slow, I miss being able to read all the time but I am ok if I can’t. I am enjoying the book so that is a plus.

  7. Hunting Prince Dracula looks great. I had Hunting Jack the Ripper out from the library but had to return it before I read it and haven’t gotten it back. Soon though it’s happening. I’m good with January being a Free Trial month. I’m sooooo tired. I think it’s all this cold but all I want to do is nap. Have a great week!

    • You must read Jack. That books is fantastic and the characters are even better. They crack me up plus I don’t mind how she tells the ripper story. I have an issue with people changing it but she does a really good job. I think I should just make it official FREE Trial month is January. Napping is nice! 🙂

  8. I’m glad your slump is over!! And hopefully February will be better than January was for you. I think I might join Bloggiesta. I’ll have to look into it. Congrats on co-hosting it! I don’t know how you two are able to host so many. Hats off to you.

    • After the holidays you totally need a break and a chance to catch up on things so that for me is January. 🙂
Bloggiesta is great! It’s a great way to get organized, learn stuff about blogging and meet people in the community. The twitter parties are always so informative and the mini challenges.

  9. You two and your challenges *sighs* it makes me exhausted just to think about them! I’m sure you’ll be great at organizing Bloggiesta, though, because you’re great at every other challenge you host.
I am ready for vacation already… even if I only started work on January 8th. That’s a little scary.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. {{{BIG HUGS}}} I miss your face!

    • We just enjoy them so much and this is one I have always wanted to help host. It’s so much better knowing Berls is doing it with me. Sadly I can’t go anywhere until the summer and even this isn’t confirmed but I have my fingers crossed 🙂
I miss your face too!!!! <3
