WIR&TSP

Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

This will be my last Sunday post for 2 weeks (unless I squeeze one in next week) I will be going on vacation! *sigh* I totally can’t wait. It is a much needed get away and the kids are super excited.

This week has been pretty quiet, Ryan has a few outburst but nothing we couldn’t handle and it’s been a very slow reading week.

DID YOU SEE SHARKNADO 3? OMG it was FANTASTIC!!!! I loved every minute of that stupid movie. You can’t beat Sharks in Space, I am so excited for number 4!

Do you know what a loot crate is? Every month we get a box really cool nerd stuff in the mail and this month was my favorite box. I got a little statue of the original batman (from the TV show) it was so cute and my son didn’t even have a chance to say that’s mine because I said “Hands off, MINE!”

I also got these two shirts at the mall this weekend! How awesome are these shirts. I LOVE them.

I did a bunch of stuff this week and scheduled all my reviews and set up a Fun Facts posts. I have a few more ideas and some more drafts that need to be finished. I have been feeling very bloggy and it’s very nice. I saw a post on Twitter this week where someone said they love blogging and can’t live without it. I realized I feel the same way, seriously, I adore my blog, the people I chat with and all the awesome books. I hope I can do this for a long time. So I am hoping once vacation is over I will get back into being the productive blogger I use to be. πŸ™‚ I have been making my way around the blogosphere I missed visiting and it’s been fun to visit your blogs again. I am finally at a point that I can visit again so expect to see a lot of me stalking and commenting! πŸ™‚ lol

    • Have you seen her YouTube channel? It’s very creepy and really interesting. I want to watch the who series. Alice is frustrating but no annoying and I really liked her.

  1. I hope you enjoy your vacation, Michelle! I know it will be nice to have a well-deserved break. And hopefully you’ll get some good family time in along with some YOU time. πŸ˜‰ I’m actually going to be in your neck of the woods this weekend. My younger daughter and I are coming to NYC. I’m nervous…sooo nervous, since I don’t *do* big cities. πŸ˜‰ Anyway, I’ll see you when you’re back!!!

  2. I am so excited to hear that Sharknado 3 was awesome!! I have been avoiding spoilers like cray cray because I love me some Sharknado!
Glad to hear you are going on vacation – you could use it after the crazy year you’ve had so far!! I have always loved the look of Lootcrate but alas I am a broke student who has no monies for any more subscriptions. :/

  3. Have a wonderful vacation, Michelle! You deserve it. And I’m so glad you’re getting back the joy of blogging. It’s good to see you happy!

I’m kind of in the same boat – Sunday Posts and News & Notes will be iffy for the next month, due to lots of traveling and family visits plus lots of work (which I take with me, blrgggh.) Even reviews will be a bit spotty, though I have some tours I absolutely have to do.

  4. You definitely deserve a vacation, Michelle, and I hope you’ll all have a fabulous time! Spending time with family, and away from the computer is awesome, even when we love our blogs and the online community we are a part of.
I need the Sharknado movie… I’m going to check if it’s possible for me to get my hands on it here.
I hope you’ll enjoy your new books. Have a fantastic vacation my dear! *hugs*

  5. You deserve a vacation and I hope you have a great time!! I had no idea the Sharknado movie was in space lol. I’ll have to watch it now. I love the stuff from Lootcrate and I have been tempted to sign up. But I need to clean out my books first to make space for more stuff. Have a great week!

  6. I love those Loot Crates and thought about getting them but then didn’t think I needed a bunch of stuff I would have no place to put..lol. Though I admit to being a bit jealous about your crate this time…I want that batman…lol.

You are reading some interesting looking books, can’t wait to see what you think of them. You did really good with your grabs, I didn’t do to bad but I spent a lot..thank goodness it was all on gift cards and didn’t cost anything..lol.

    Have a great week!,

  7. Have the very best of vacations! Hope you come back feeling all rested and refreshed. I have yet to watch any of the Sharknado movies but my daughter and her friends had a big viewing party when this one came out. She said it was awesomely bad. I’ve tried to remember pre-blogging days and it’s just too weird to think about it. I love it too despite the time vacuum. Have a great week!

    • Do they ship to UK on there website? If not let me know and we can work out a way to get you one. I can always get it and ship to you and you can send me the money via PayPal.

  8. Legend of Zelda!! Tri-force!! If only I could find Kirby my son would be sooooo happy!! We made his day last Sunday when we surprised him with a Meta-Knight Amiibo. I had to order the Japanese version b/c that’s all you can find the states.

My best friend and her entire family were camped out in front of the tv for Sharknado…. y’all are weird πŸ˜›

    Have a fantastic vacation, girl!!!!

    • Hot Topic! No Lie, we saw three Kirby shirts. They might even have them on-line,
What we do for our kids πŸ™‚ My son was once obsessed with Go-Go Crazy Bones I bought the entire season on E-bay because he wanted them all so bad. Thankfully it was’t to expensive but it made him happy and that makes me happy.

Yes we are, I am serious when I say it’s so stupid it’s fantastic.

  9. I hope you have an amazing vacation! Have a great time and I cna’t wait to hear how your vacation wa safter you get back! Sounds like you had a nice week. I haven’t watched any of the Sharnado movies, but my boyfriend did watch them, although he hasn’t seen the newest yet I think.

That lootcrate looks pretty aweosme! I’ve seen them around a few times and it looks fun, although also the risk you don’t like what you get, but it’s a fun idea! Those shirts are pretty awesome, I played a few zelda games on my gameboy when I was younger.

That picture of you with your boys is adorable and you look so happy! Have a great week and vacation!

    • Thank you Lola! I plan to do a post when I get back, it’s a fun place to go, just need to make sure I take a bunch of pictures.

You and your boyfriend need to binge watch Sharknado! It so stupid it’s fantastic.

We have gotten a few that didn’t have a lot of interest to me but between the three of us, one of us, finds something to grab.

I am a Zelda nut, the Wii U has the two original zelda and I have to get them since I have been wanting to play for some time now and I hope for Xmas the kids know me enough to get me the new one. lol

Thank you, I don’t normally take pictures but they looked so cute πŸ™‚

  10. I love the Batman figurine! I would have done the same thing! hehe
The Wrinkled Crown looks like a good read! I’m adding it to my TBR. Thanks for sharing!

  11. I’ve only seen parts of the first Sharknado, but I think it’s hilarious! It’s sort of permeating the culture, like Game of thrones ha ha. Love the Zelda shirt too!

I feel the same way about blogging. Hard to believe how fun it is, and I put so much time now I’m not sure what I’d do if I stopped. πŸ™‚

    Enjoy your vacation!!

  12. There is no way I could watch Sharknado. I know they’re kinda spoofy but I haven’t been in the ocean since Jaws so there’s no way I need flying sharks tormenting me and my dreams as well! πŸ˜‰
