On the blog:

I have been one productive little blogger this week/weekend. I changed a lot of things around on the blog (feature logos not header) and reworked some of my posts. I also drafted a bunch of stuff and was able to write a few posts. I am working on some design jobs and just being over all productive. I can pretty much say I have almost all of Jan completed and just need to fill in 2 or 3 posts for the end of the month. I will be working on Feb posts this week. How long has it been since you have heard me say all of that?!?!?

Bloggiesta was this weekend so that helped me be double motivated, I am hoping this keeps up. One of my resolutions is to be two weeks ahead…so far, so good.

Next weekend is the 24 in 48 read-a-thon. I plan to participate since I never did it before and its a great excuse to do nothing and read all day…..for two days! πŸ˜‰

In real life:

I am 5 days away from being 3 month, smoke free! I am doing awesome. I now need to adjust what I eat because I don’t want to start gaining a lot of weight since that is usually what happens after 3 months, or at least that is what happened last time. I have started drinking a lot, and I mean a lot of water to curb my cravings of smoking and food and It is working. Not losing weight but once the spring gets here I can start walking again. I miss it. Otherwise just a regular week of therapies for Ryan and tutoring for Julia. I can’t complain really (praying I don’t jink it lol) I am really working on my planner calendar and feel so organized and less stress. I am now getting organized to start redoing the house in March, I hope to be completely finished with all the rooms by September. I love redoing the house, it give it a new look!

What I’m Watching:

I will be getting back to binge watching stuff soon but at the moment I am enjoying Emerald City on NBC. Has anyone watched that? I really like it but I am so scared they are going to cancel it because all I hear is people complaining how weird and slow it is, I don’t find it to be slow and I like the weirdness, plus it has STEAMPUNK in it! I think its just so different that it is going to be hard to find the right audience for it unless you are like me and likes that kind of stuff.

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Cover Characteristic ~ Superheros
  • Task it Tuesday ~ Getting stuff done for Feb
  • Review ~ Wanting My Stepsister
  • Bookish Conversation ~ Don’t feel guilty about not finishing a book anymore.
  • Review ~ Bend
  • 24in48 Read-a-thon Sign Up post
  • 24 in 48 Read-a-thon Update Posts…I will probably have 3.

Books read & currently reading:

Putting The Bone Witch on hold for right now so I can read My TBR List book. I am enjoying The Bone Witch but it’s a long book and I think I might return to it next week during the 24 in 48 read-a-thon

Just a side note, my daughter is MORTIFIED that Big RockΒ won my TBR List, she’s 9, she can’t even believe I am planning to read it. She said that cover shows way to much and doesn’t understand why. When she’s old enough she will understand πŸ™‚

New on the Bookshelf/Kindle:

Colleen Hoover recommended 44 Chapters about 4 men….I am really putting my Kindle Unlimited to good use lately. I absolutely love it! πŸ™‚ I am rather excited about The Bloodright Inheritance, I have been waiting for this last book in the series.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. Congratulations on reaching 3 months! You are doing great with blogging ahead. My weekend was busy but I hope to write up some posts for next week. I would love to be more than a week ahead but hopefully someday I can achieve this. Your daughter is so cute lol. I hope you are enjoying the book. Have a great week Michelle!

  2. Great job on being productive! I’ve actually managed to be productive, too and considering all that’s going on here that’s a fucking miracle. LOL In any case, I managed to pull together a MPM so you pervs should be happy. πŸ˜€ I have January scheduled and the 1st 2 weeks of Feb. Thank goodness for reserve reviews, right?

I need to Spring Clean and purge my house. But first hubby and I need to get the shelves built for the Exterior Library so we can shelve books. As soon as we get some nice weather on his weekends off, it’s on like Donkey Kong. Pics will be sure to follow. πŸ™‚

I hope you have a fantastic week (with or without fantastic beasts), Michelle! XOXO

  4. Almost 3 months- that is awesome! Good for you. Glad you had a great week… I miss walking in the winter too (I could walk on the treadmill, but…nah lol).

Superheroes this week huh? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. πŸ™‚

    Have a fab week!

    • I don’t have a treadmill, I wish I had one and a gym isn’t worth the money and I have no time to leave the house. lol So I’ll wait until spring πŸ™‚

I have a huge list of stuff, I went back to some of the older CC and wrote them down since I never did them. Figured I have enough to last the rest of the year, just need to figure out a new way to post the covers don’t want it to take up a lot of space on my server.

  5. You have been productive! I’ve been the antithesis of that all weekend. I don’t even have my review written for tomorrow. You’ve got it going on! I hope the therapy is going well for Ryan. Happy reading!

  6. Oh one day you will have to remind your daughter of how she felt because she will no doubt feel differently! I am curious to hear your thoughts on Alaska Wild. I have KU as well and have seen that book a few times, but I would like to get someone’s thoughts!

  7. Look at you go! Woot! Woot! I had a rough week, but I’m catching up and should be a week ahead by the end of the day tomorrow (if not today). Julia is cracking me up! Yes, she will understand when she gets older πŸ˜‰

I was noticing your Sunday Post logo and thinking it looked updated. I like it! Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the other one’s! Keep it up friend xoxo

    • Julia always has a way of making me laugh with what she says. She is really funny. I am happy to finally be ahead after being shit last year.

I wanted something a little different without the background, I did that on a lot of other ones and some of the new ones I made are similar. I am actually loving them πŸ™‚

  8. Yay for being productive!! And congrats on 3 months smoke-free. That is awesome. That cracks me up with your daughter and the book cover. Since all our stuff is linked on one amazon account my husband always sees the books I buy on his Fire and is constantly asking me WTH I read. Ooops! Have a great week!

  9. Yay for a productive week! I like your new week in review logo, I think that’s the only one I’ve seen so far. Will have to check out your other posts for those new logo’s. I am glad to hear you’re busy with design work :).

That’s great you’re smoke free for so long! I hope you can keep it up!

I am not as far ahead as I want to be with blog scheduling, but I am doing well making some progress. At least I am doing well with reviews and recipe posts. I haven’t heard of Emerald City before, but that’s a shame they might cancel it as it sounds you’re enjoying it. I was really bad with requesting books this week. I requested 3 on netgalley, wished for another and requested an edelweiss book.

Hope you’ll have a great week!

    • I am very happy about the week, and I brainstormed like crazy so I am doing good! lol. I wanted a bit of a change. No header change yet but I am thinking about it.

Me too, I am enjoying being smoke free πŸ™‚

I am hoping I can stay ahead, it really has lighten my stress load and I feel better knowing I don’t have to rush to the blog everyday to get stuff done.
Emerald City is really good, I don’t know if they will cancel it but I just keep seeing a lot of bad reviews. It only had 3 episodes so it’s hard to make a solid judgement just yet. I am enjoying it πŸ™‚

  10. I am quite curious to read the Bone Witch. Also congrats on the not smoking. I was one of the very lucky people who showed no signs of withdrawal. I just stopped. And that was it. I did gain weight though, so I guess I did often smoke instead of snack. Whoops! All the best with quitting!

    • It’s not a bad book, It’s just long and I want to read my other book first and save that one for the read-a-thon next week πŸ™‚

This is my second time quitting, some stressful stuff made me go back but this time was a lot harder to stop but super easy to stay stopped. I have no withdrawals and just quit cold. Works better for me! πŸ™‚ I am hoping to get a better handle on my weight now that I am almost at 3 months and the holidays are over!
