Recapping 2021 and looking ahead to 2022
Feel free to join us!
out with the OLD: 2021
UGH! My reading was sooooooo bad this year, I literally had to rely on Monster Porn to help me get to my goal. I was very disappointed and while I love the quick reads I feel like I missed out on so many awesome books. I am hoping to come up with a better plan for reading and just get back to really enjoying it and of course reviewing it! 😀
I did make my goal of 50 and I did read a book that turned out to be one of my all time favorite books. So it wasn’t that bad.
Out of all the books I read this year, these three are my top and Kings of the Wyld is my all time favorite book! I can’t wait to read the next one.
Sea of Ruin blew me away, I wasn’t expecting what I read and the content has a few trigger warnings but overall it didn’t sugar coat anything and I loved it.
Kings of the Wyld was Hilarious, Adventurous and Heartbreaking. It was one of the most amazing books I ever read and the character build/world build was just so well done. I felt for all of them.
Desperate Measures also has a few trigger warnings but I loved an alternate telling of Aladdin, I am hoping to read more of Katee Robert in the new year.
in with the NEW: 2022
I have plans for this year and now that Bookish Resolutions is back I plan to make a few resolutions that will help me get through a year of reading full length, kick ass books. I know I wont have time to read all the books I want but I do feel like I am capable of reading a lot more than I did this year. My mind has been learning more to Thriller and Fantasy. I have a few books in mind that I want to get through and one has to do with an orange tree.
Here is a list of the books I am planning to read this year…heavy on the fantasy. I am going to add a few of these to my goal for next year.
My hope is that we all have the best year, we deserve that after the last two.
Happy New Years!!!
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Some awesome covers!! I hope you get to read all of them and love them 🙂
There are many of these books still on my tbr. Robin has reviewed many of these.
There are so many books I didn’t get to this year. I hope I can get to them next year, but likely I’ll be distracted by other books again. LOL I am not sure I will be doing any challenges this coming year. I am still deciding. I hope you are able to get to most, if not all, of the books you hope to in this New Year, Michelle!
Katee Robert is really great. I’ve loved all the books I’ve read of hers so far!$
Happy New Year!
