Possibly my favorite JLA! The Problem with Forever #review

Might be my favorite JLA book! Loved the characters and the romance but most of all how this is a book about growing up and into yourself – to accept yourself and everything you are. The way she handled the foster system was so good – a delicate balance between some people doing amazing things for children and an unfortunate group who do horrible things and abuse the system. The struggles of the poor and the struggle of those caught in a system was beautifully – and painfully at times – given realistic justice. As a teacher, I appreciated seeing that some teachers see everything and really can make a difference, while others miss the mark. So good!

So sad that I got this at BEA and just now read it… 2 years later!

  1. I loved this one sooo much! JLA is already one of my all-time faves and this one only cemented that. I loved seeing the growth in Mallory over the course of the book and how she truly found her voice. And Rider was an absolute sweetheart.

    • Her paranormal is good, but this was better IMO. She just managed some complicated issues really well. Hope you get to read it πŸ™‚

  2. You’ve just made me want to dig it out of my BEA pile and get it read. I love JLA and don’t read her enough. I’m thrilled this one was such a good read. I can see how it would resonate with you and I think I’ll feel the same. SO, I’ll unearth it and add it to my pile. πŸ™‚
