My top thoughts:
Oh I just loved this Read Me Romance title! It was so fun! I love when people have an instant connection that they try to deny and actually let it turn to temporary hatred and feuding. The antagonism – fueled by lust really, right? – was great in this book. It never went TOO FAR but it went far enough to be bad and hilarious. I loved the chemistry and I was really happy with the way Kennedy fox wrapped the story up. I will definitely plan on reading more from her.

Rules of surviving a breakup:
1. Do avoid your ex like he's a bill collector
2. Do block his emails and change your phone number if necessary
3. Do bury your head in the sand while you try (and fail) to get over him
4. Don't talk to him when he shows up while you're in the middle of the blind date from hell
5. Don't agree to go home with him when says he needs to talk to youLet’s hope I don't come to regret breaking rules four and five within minutes of Mason Cleary swooping back into my life.
My top thoughts:
So I liked how this one started – a REALLY bad date with an asshat insulting her so badly, she’s actually convinced that it’s one of those TV setups. I just didn’t love where it went from there. I think what I wanted was for her to be right and the guy to be actually pretty cool and them to end up having a connection.
That’s not what happened at all – he was for real, it was not a fake date, and she’s rescued by an ex. An ex who she broke things off with because she thought they wanted different things and she had her heart broken because they didn’t really talk it out. They had good chemistry and I did enjoy watching them fix what was broken. But it was kind of a meh story for me because there was no real romance to build – it was already there. It didn’t even really feel quite like a second chance romance to me, because they both already loved each other and knew they loved each other, they just had to let the other one know it.
The chemistry worked and made for a fun quick read overall. And the narration was good, so I overall enjoyed the book. I think I would have really enjoyed the full story – starting with the romance and the breakup and then coming to where this one picked up- a lot more though.

A chance meeting. An instant connection. Mitch and Mandy burn hot, but when the smoke clears, and things get real, can their feelings stay strong?
This story is a stand-alone with no cliffhanger.

My top thoughts:
I liked the chemistry between the main characters in this Read Me Romance title. Even though it would likely bother me in real life, I liked the way Mitch is super persistent and just won’t let Mandy say no to a date with him. It’s a super fast connection, but it has believability, in that it’s not just insta-love, which I also like. The twist was way too obvious for me and the way it was handled was so not believable at all, so for me that took it down a couple stars. I want a HEA that has a bit more plausibility. The narration by Alexandra Shawnee and Noel Harrison was just okay for me. Their voices were a bit too different to go together for IMO, like I almost had 4 different characters instead of 2. On their own the narration would have worked a bit better. I preferred Noel’s voice ranges to Alexandra’s but overall both were good.
the cowboy one looks fun 😀 I love the antagonistic relationships
I am 100% new to podcasts and am still figuring them out. (OMG I feel so old saying that. LOL) But a bookish podcast where you can listen to free audiobooks? Yes please! I love the sound of the Kennedy Fox title!
I really liked Roping the Cowboy, too! But wasn’t too keen on an instant connection LOL
