My Review:

Ok, so I did something I never do, I read a book out of order, but I have to tell you this book is done in such a way that it really didn’t matter. You felt like you have know the town and the history. I am sure some of the background characters you would have been happy to see again if you read the other books but for me it felt like I knew them already. I loved how this book was ok to read out of order and I am thinking I might want to start this series. I really loved the small town feel it has and how everyone felt like family.

This story is about Madeline and Jonny. Madeline has lived in the town a long time and is a co-partner at a cute little bridal shop called Paper Moon. The mayor of the town stops by to ask Madeline if she can help the super handsome and incredibly famous Jonny Blaze action star with his sisters wedding. With a huge crush on Jonny since, like forever, Madeline just couldn’t say no, even if she really wanted to and never planned a wedding before. I loved the chemistry between these two and I really loved Madeline. I felt bad that most of her friends are married and popping kids out left and right. I really wanted Jonny to be the one for her but with a bunch of very funny moments and a lot of Christmas Magic, I just loved this story of finding true love with the one you least expect.

I can’t really recommend this series but I can recommend this book. If you are like me and must read things in order then I would recommend starting at the beginning like I might do now since I loved the small town and connection between all the characters. This was a great holiday read and I do think you can read it as a stand alone because it was very well done with explaining and not making you feel completely lost. Just loved this book!

  1. That is the one thing about series like this they are made for reading out of order and still being able to know what is going on, but it still drives me batty when I do it…lol. I think I have read one of her books in this series…if I am right it was another Christmas one. 🙂

  2. I read the first few in the series and kind of lost interest (and there was an incident in one book where magic sperm cured this woman’s infertility which annoyed me) but I did pick up a Christmas book a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. It sounds like this is another one I would really like. Thanks for reminding me to pick this one up!
