My Review:

You know when you catch a glimpse of a cover and think, I need that book? Has it ever happened that you see the Title of the books and think OMG I need to have that? That is what happened to me with this book. I just so happened to see this book in passing and thought Lois Lane? Is that a Lois Lane story? OMG is it LOIS LANE AS A TEEN? Did the synopsis say she talks to someone named smallvilleguy! I need this book like yesterday but I had to wait till May ๐Ÿ™

I was SHOCKED when it came in the mail because I won it. What are the odds that my most anticipated book of the year for me was now in my hands. I was screaming and jumping up and down, I may have hugged it a few times and gave it a loving sniff.

I wont spoils this book for anyone because you need to read this book to experience the awesome story it holds. Gwenda Bond captures the Lois Lane we all know and love, she is Lois, hard ass and would do anything to get the story and it’s her story not superman, her story, for the first time she is the Main Character and he is the side kick. The story was a Lois Lane exclusive, all the impulsive and carelessness that goes with her getting a the story is in all the pages of this book. She goes above and beyond to get what she wants and of course her heart is in the right place when it comes to helping people. I was blown away, honestly, blown away.

I few parts of the story I got a little confused but you don’t stay that way for long, I just process things a lot slower than others ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the characters and the story was fantastic. Gwenda Bond can tell an amazing story and I am hoping this is the start of an amazing series following Lois until she finally meets Clark maybe? A few books about her side of the story? I would love that and get chills just thinking about it. This will forever be one of my favorite books!

I do hope this review isn’t confusing, I really just don’t want to spoil all the details of this amazing story. Ahhh! This book is beyond awesome with a great cast of characters and the true essence of Lois Lane, this is a great book for anyone that is a fan (or not) of superman and always wanted Lois to have her own story. Happy to say this is my first book from Mrs. Bond and it will not be my last. She is an amazing story teller and I look forward to reading more from her. I can’t wait for everyone to read this book!

  1. I’m not much of a superman fan – not into superheroes in general, but he’s always been low on the list. But you make me want to read this because Lois Lane – as you describe her – has all the characteristics of my favorite heroines. I may just give this one a shot after all!

    • Superman/Clark is really in the background, he is there but not there. I would love to see them together in later books but it would mess with the time line of Superman (true fans wouldn’t like that) However if she can really keep Lois as a Stand Alone than it might work if he showed up at some point.
Batman is my number one but superman is a close second, but then you have the avengers and it just gets all confusing, BUT my favorite Comic Character is actually a villain Harley Quinn & I’m very fond of the Joker.
