WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

I don’t want to make this long-winded but I thought I would make it quick and hopefully this is a start of a big change for our family. Ryan’s medicine just isn’t working and need to get his ADHD under control since we think a certain med he was taken off of might have actually been helping, however his psychiatrist thinks that this wouldn’t be a good idea to do as an outpatient so on Monday Ryan was put into the hospital so they can monitor him and start him on new meds. Thankfully they were able to see what we have been seeing and in the next couple of days he will be given new meds to see if that helps him (plus adjustments as needed) and I can get my lovable, sweet Ryan back. He might be there until this coming week. It’s hard not having him home but I know this is what is best for him so please excuse my absence as my family and I get this under control. I will NOT be going on Hiatus, I thought I might but instead I am going to work more behind the blog and be around so I will do some visits soon since it keeps my mind busy and helps me get through the day. Thanks again to all of you for all the sweet notes last Sunday and being so supportive. I am super positive that this is going to be just what him and our family needed. πŸ™‚

So have you signed up for COYER Yet? Did you see the list for the Hunt? This COYER is our BIGGEST and I can’t wait for it to get started, I am going to start my list soon and make update the COYER page on my blog since for some reason I just realized (yesterday) that it doesn’t say anything lol

Click on the picture for details and sign up info.

COYER ScavHuntLogo-SignUpI am super behind on review writing so I am hoping this weekend I will be able to catch up and schedule a few posts. I will still have a few light weeks but once COYER starts I am hoping to start reading like a mad woman. If all goes well with Ryan’s med change everything will go back to normal around here and I will be able to get back to blogging like I was before…fingers crossed.

It does sound like an interesting book and I am looking forward to reading it! Damn you Netgalley and your sneaky ways!!! But Thank you St. Martin’s Paperbacks πŸ™‚

LOLI learned about that email NetGalley thing the hard way like you. If I don’t actually want the book, I submit feedback saying I clicked on the email and didn’t mean to request it. Now I’m a lot more careful with those emails! πŸ˜€

Sending best wishes for Ryan and for you all. *hugs*

  2. I hope having Ryan in hospital will help them see what meds he needs and get him on some good ones so you can have some stress free down time and your sweet Ryan back. *hugs* I learned the hard way like you did about Netgalley and their sneaky ways..lol. Hope you like your sneaky book. πŸ™‚

  3. You have had another tough week and it sounds like it was a good move to have him admitted. They can observe him with the medication changes and you can also get some needed rest. I hope everything gets better soon!

Thanks for the warning about the emails! I don’t click on the image but I go to Goodreads to view the book and any comments. I don’t need anymore ARCs right now lol.

I hope you have a better week!!

  4. I hope the doctors will be able to find the right medications for Ryan this time around, Michelle! I completely understand that it’s hard to not have him home, but hopefully, once he gets back home he’ll be the son you know and love, with much less mood-swings πŸ™‚ I’m sending positive and healing thoughts to all of you guys <3

I look forward to COYER this time around, I will probably try to do both the reading as many books as possible from my TBR shelf, and the scavenger hunt. It's going to be a lot of fun for sure.

Have a fantastic week ahead, happy reading. *hugs*

  5. I hope your week gets better! and also praying that your son gets better too! I know it can be hard to go through things like that but it’ll only make you stronger in the end. I too am behind on books and haven’t read any of the ones Netgalley sent me which I feel terrible about. Ugh.

    • Thank you <3

yes I am so behind but the challenge I co-host will hopefully get me ahead as long as I avoid Netgalley and Edelweiss for 3 months...I wish πŸ™‚

  6. Hang in there, Michelle! I hope and pray that they’ll be able to get Ryan’s meds adjusted to what he most needs. I know it’s hard for all of you, especially having him in the hospital. I’m sending you a great big hug. You know we’re all thinking of you and sending supportive thoughts your way.

Meanwhile, don’t stress about the blog. Do the things that help you feel better, whatever those are. And enjoy reading those new books – it’s a great way to squeeze in a little downtime!

  7. *hugs* That must have been so hard to go through, havign him at the hospital instead of at home, although that’s good news they have him at te hospital now and are monitoring what the meds do. I am hoping he will be back to this normal self after this!
My Coyer sign-up post will be live this week on wednesday! I am really excited for this co~yer!
I’ve gotten one or two boosk through netgalley that way, but I usually knew to expect the auto-approval e-mail. That happens when an author approves you through netgalley even if you haven’t requested the book. I am hopign you will enjoy the book!
I hope this week will be better for you!

This COYER is going to be lots of fun, I need to visit everyone goal posts before it gets a lot lol

I will know now not to click on it until I check it out completely lol I do hope it’s a good book as it does sound interesting πŸ™‚

      *hugs*

  8. Wow it does sound like a rough week. I’m glad the doctors are seeing what you’re seeing so at least you can work as a team. The NetGalley pic/email thing has gotten me too though it was for a book I really wanted to read. Love when that happens! Enjoy your new read even though they tricked you πŸ™‚ Hopefully Ryan will be home before you know it. Have a great week!
