About the Author

Before I wrote, I read. Voraciously. When I wasn’t able to read, I listened to audio books on tape or CD. Still do.
Hi. My name is Robynn E Sheahan and I live and write from the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

I started to dabble in writing while working as a Paramedic/Firefighter in Northern California. Trust me, it’s not like it appears on TV. There was plenty of time for books.
Ideas from dreams follow me into warm sunny days or the quiet of falling snow. What ifs feed a vivid imagination. Even miss-typed phrases may lead to an aha moment. Brain storming sessions standing in windy, dark parking lots with fellow writers release thoughts that pry at the corners of my mind, grasping for purchase. Sometimes the ideas pursue me, with persistence.
About six years ago the dabbling became serious when worlds and characters screamed for, no, demanded attention. So I wrote my first manuscript. Critiques and rewrites filled the next five years.
I now had STORM OF ARRANON, the first book in the series. Storm of Arranon Fire and Ice quickly followed. Then Storm of Arranon Allies and Enemies. Book four is in a rough draft, no title as yet, and should be done by Spring 2015. Book five awaits it’s turn!

Beneath Erynn’s petite build, curly red hair, and startling blue eyes, lies a deeply hidden secret. If the truth about her were revealed, her life would be in danger. Her dream to be a fighter pilot would tailspin, crash, and burst into flames.

Jaer’s wise brown eyes reflect his smoldering strength. An enigma, charismatic and moody, he is a physically powerful warrior who defends his world. A warrior afraid to love because of mistakes in his past.

When the presence of a marauding alien society is discovered on their planets, a struggle of life and death begins. Both Erynn and Jaer’s worlds face annihilation.

A mysterious force plunges Erynn into Jaer’s cold, dangerous, and beautiful world with its magical essence and living consciousness. Both the alien enemy and this strange inexplicable power purse Erynn.

Interview

So happy that you are able to chat with me today, thought I would as you a few really fun questions

1.     What’s something that amazes you?

People amaze me. Both the good and the bad. I guess as a writer I find human nature interesting. What drives or motivates us to do what we do and why? It’s all so subjective.

2.     What movie deserves a sequel?

God’s Not Dead.

3.     If you could travel in time, where would you go?

That’s a tough question. Good but tough! My first thought is my past, so I could ‘do over’ some things. But then if everything hadn’t happened exactly as it did, would I be who and where I am now? I’m quite happy. As for the future, I’m satisfied to let my life play out as it will, without foreknowing what wonderful and not so wonderful times await me.

4.     It’s a rainy Sunday afternoon, What movie would you want to see on TV?

Any of the Harry Potter movies. Or Star Wars IV, V, and VI, not I, II, or III.

5.     If you went to a Psychiatrist, what would he/she say you suffer from?

Oh, I’m definitely an Introvert, and proud of it!

6.     What was your favorite childhood game?

Most of the kids I played with had horses, as I did. We would play basketball on our horses. No dribbling, but you couldn’t hold the small ball we used longer than 5 seconds before you had to pass to a teammate.

7.  What is your favorite snack food?

Easy. Cupcakes!

8.  What is the scariest scene you remember from a movie as a kid?

When I was about in my tweens, my mom and I would stay up late and watch ‘Creature Features’ on Saturday nights. The scariest moment was from the Haunting, (the original) where the two women are in their room, the walls are moving in and out and something is pounding on the door. I had nightmares for days. It was awesome!

9.  Which animal scares you the most? Why?

I’m really not afraid of animals. In fact I love animals. Especially dogs! I like cats too, but I’m allergic.

10.  If you could change your first name, what would you change it to?

Oh I love this question! My middle name is Elisabeth, with an s not a z because my mom told me she wanted to call me Lisa. I like Lisa, so that would be my choice.

11.  What is your all time favorite place to go?

The ocean, Fort Bragg, CA.

12.  What season do you prefer? Why?

I love Fall! The colors, the scent, warm days and cool nights. I’ve always enjoyed Halloween.

13.  Name I book you suggest everyone must read? (Not including yours)

I think Dean Koontz is a great author. His writing is so visual. I like his older books better than his more recent works. My favorite is Fear Nothing and Seize the Night. I know, that’s  two. But they go together.

Already read and thoroughly enjoyed the first two of your series. Got our copy of the third book today. It’s a page turner. Love it already. Such exquisite writing. Glad it’s not being hidden any longer. Bob and Ruth

  2. Haha, this author’s bio made me chuckle! Especially the bit about her being a paramedic. 🙂 And the cover of her book is sooo cute! 🙂
