SummerreadinglistI asked a few of my favorite bloggers to give me a list of books that they recommend for your summer reading list. As always I got a awesome mix of some really amazing books. I hope this will make your summer reading more enjoyable as you feel the sand between your toes and the sun on your face.

Top 10 Books I’ve Read More Than Once

I have been really trying to come up with an interesting list for this post. I thought a lot about when I was in elementary school and I would participate in summer reading challenges at the library. I also considered books that I read over and over, usually in the summer because there seems to be more time to do that sort of thing. Then there are books about summertime, beaches, camp and the like.

So I think my list will be of books that have nothing to do with summer at all. And I will also say that I have rated all of these books a 5 on a 5point scale (except for a couple 4s). And they may or may not be in my usual YA genre. And they may not have been written this century. AND I have read all of these books more than once. How ‘bout that?

(Just listed alpha by author.)

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
A classic! Gotta love strong women with a sense of humor!

2. The Alienist by Caleb Carr
Great mystery set in late 19th century NYC with Teddy Roosevelt as a character. Bully!

3. The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
If you love books, grammar & absurdity, this series is for you!

4. The Just One Day series by Gayle Forman
Who doesn’t want their own Willem DeRuiter and a good hagelslag after reading this?

5. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
Such a lovely, touching book.

6. FanGirl by Angel Lawson
What’s better than being a huge fan…and getting recognition for it?

7. Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
Best explanation for zombies ever. Plus, best retelling of Romeo & Juliet. Win/win.

8. The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis
Probably one of the saddest books you’ll ever love.

9. Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field by Melissa Nathan
A great reboot of the classic.

10. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Duh
