Sunday’s Week in review….

Posted April 21, 2013 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 0 Comments

I thought maybe on Sundays I would do a week in review. Telling you what I did, what books I’m am reading and what I am waiting for. Maybe even an update on up coming tours, giveaways, etc.

I also want to talk I little about my family and stuff like what we have done or are doing.

I have been behind on so much stuff. Dealing with some personal issues but things are better now and I can focus some more time on updates and blog entries.

I have off this week of work, so I am hoping to catch up on some reading. We usually go to Florida this week but this year we figured we would take the year off from going, save up some money (to fix some issues we are having) and go next year but in August instead.

For a while we were going in April when my parents and sister go. They would stay at my parents condo and my husband, the kids and I would stay in Disney (cause if you gonna go to Florida I wanna stay in Disney)But since my dad owns the business and my husband works there they can’t really be off at the same time, it stresses out my dad so we told them we would go in August instead.

Since I work I am blessed to have my Mom watch my kids, so when she goes on vacation I have to go too so I can stay home and get the kids when they come home from school. My son is in 2nd grade but my daughter is in Pre-K she only goes to school for two hours in the afternoon. Next year both my kids will be in school so I wont have to take off in April anymore and save the days for us to go in the summer.

I am a HUGE Disney fan. For the most part we go every year but since the kids have started school we have gone every other year. We stay on the grounds of Disney and my kids LOVE it. We usually stay at the Pop Century. Since my son is Mild Autistic we have to keep things familiar with him and he loves that place it is so kid friendly (planning a trip to Disney I am the girl to talk to, I can walk through the magic kingdom without a map, I really should work for them I know everything about them its scary). The kids pretty much rule what we do there, I just remind them when they have to eat and sleep :). But we love it. We have a pass for my son so it makes it easier for him to enjoy everything and we spend most of our time seeking out the characters so he can meet and take a picture with them. The pictures that I’m posting below are a couple from last year. I have so many and last year they got autographs they were so excited. Ryan pretty much attacks the characters he just loves them. He said he wants to make a list of one we haven’t seen yet. I plan to make an album for him with Iphoto.  (Maybe I can do that this week while I’m off hmmmmm)

I want to say it’s a family tradition to go every year (or every other) and I’m hoping they will enjoy it when they get older as well. If they are anything like me they will, I think I already created two very hardcore Disney fans. I ‘m so proud 🙂

So besides that….I am still reading the book Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstilskin, I should be finished with it tonight. I want to be able to post the review for it maybe by Thursday or Friday. Since I have a Blog Tour and Giveaway on Wednesday for the Book The Fallen Stars

Cute book so far. I really like the story a lot.

Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin

by

In a magical kingdom where your name is your destiny, 12-year-old Rump is the butt of everyone’s joke. But when he finds an old spinning wheel, his luck seems to change. Rump discovers he has a gift for spinning straw into gold. His best friend, Red Riding Hood, warns him that magic is dangerous, and she’s right. With each thread he spins, he weaves himself deeper into a curse.

To break the spell, Rump must go on a perilous quest, fighting off pixies, trolls, poison apples, and a wickedly foolish queen. The odds are against him, but with courage and friendship—and a cheeky sense of humor—he just might triumph in the end.

When I finish it I have a few others on my TBR list I want to be but I am also waiting on a couple ARCs from Net Galley to be approved that I really want to read. I also have a few requests out for Blog Tours with Reviews I am hopping to also get picked for.
