My Review:
So as most of you know I don’t review DNF books but since this is a TBR List pick I wanted to at least tell you what happened.
I really, really, really wanted to like this book and I stayed till about 68% but it was just info dump and no story, I kept reading hoping a story would appear but it never did. I can honestly tell you as I type this I already forgot the Main Characters name. Most of the info that was dumped on me I was so confused by because it really was just to much at once. If it was spread throughout the book I think I wouldn’t have minded as long as some sort of story was also involved but it just wasn’t happening. This book has such amazing reviews it just did not work at all for me.

That’s a pity! Info dumps are a huge no for me too, I get bored to tears. Well done for DNF’ing it and making time for a book that you might actually enjoy!
I was really looking forward to reading this one also but I guess it just wasn’t for me. Sometimes info dumps are ok if it’s wrapped around a story, I missed the story 🙂
Sorry you didn’t like this one. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, but there isn’t one book in the world that *everyone* loves. I was the black sheep with a book this week too. I liked it, but didn’t think it was nearly as good as everyone else seemed to.
I really wanted you to enjoy this one, but you aren’t the first person to have a negative review. This book seems like it would be good, but might get pushed down on my TBR List.
I was hoping I liked it but it just couldn’t take all the flashbacks and history dumps. It was just to much 🙁
Oh no! Major info-dumps are never fun, especially when there’s nothing else to hold your interest. 🙁
It really was missing that whole story that I am so fond of 🙂

I am so sorry this book didn’t work for you :(. It sounds interesting and that cover is pretty. I usually don’t mind info dumps too much, but there has to be something beside the info dumps at least. I hope your next book is better!
A lot of people loved this book, I just thought it had to much info and 68% in it was still dumping. Wasn’t going to stick around until the story actually started 🙁
Aw that sucks, I have a print ARC of this one and I wanted you to love it..now I don’t know if I want to try it. 🙁 Hope you have more success with the next one picked. 🙂
Thanks, I would totally give it a try since the reviews for it are fantastic, it just wasn’t my type of read I guess.
