Tell Me Something Tuesday: Reading Spots

Tell Me Something Tuesday

Tell Me Something Tuesday was hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings, but she has (temporarily?) stopped blogging. So a group of us that had been doing posts (Linda from Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, Karen from For What It’s Worth, Roberta from Offbeat YA, Jen from That’s What I’m Talking About  and me) decided to get together, come up with some more topics and keep the meme going.Michelle made us a logo and we’re off and running. For more details, check out this post where I reintroduced the meme.

I can be sporadic, but when I do join in I will always share next week’s topic at the end of the post. So, today is about…

Where is your favorite place to read during the summer?

This isn’t really a seasonal question for me, at least not anymore. In the past, I was a sit by the pool or on the beach reading person… but now I don’t go to the pool or the beach and it’s hard to say if that’s a baby thing or a COVID thing, since i had Dante just 6 months prior to the pandemic. But I think, even without the pandemic, I’d be unlikely to be at the pool without Dante to watch.

So, that being said, my reading places are pretty much in bed or on the balcony. If I’m listening to an audiobook, it’s everywhere – the car, cleaning, walking, shower, etc. If my mind isn’t too full with what I’m doing, I’m listening to an audiobook.

What about you?

Next week’s topic: Do you like to read with others (buddy reads, readalongs, bookclubs, etc)?

It's #TMST & Berls wants to know: where do you like to read? Share on X

About Berls

Michelle adopted me as part of her blog when I decided to close down my blog, Fantasy is More Fun. The blog was dying, but my love of reading and the blogosphere was still strong as ever - so I found my new home here at Because Reading!

I'm not just a book lover, but a one time author (that hopes to be more in the future), wife, mom to the cutest, happiest, best 2 year old and step-mom to the craziest, sweetest 22 year old on the planet. My family mean everything to me and they appear frequently in the Sunday Post with Berls. So grab a glass of wine and chat books, blogging, and family with me!

  1. Jen

I remember trying to read with a toddler – it pretty much didn’t happen! I wish I’d been an audiobook reader back then.

  2. I’ve taken my book to sit by the lake or river when we go camping, but any lakes and rivers around home get too peoply and I end up people watching b/c that is a favorite past time, too. 🙂 I do like sitting on my porch early morning to read before it gets too hot and, like you, the audio can be on almost anywhere. 🙂
