Tell Me Something Tuesday was hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings, but she has (temporarily?) stopped blogging. So a group of us that had been doing posts (Linda from Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, Karen from For What It’s Worth, Roberta from Offbeat YA, Jen from That’s What I’m Talking About and me) decided to get together, come up with some more topics and keep the meme going.Michelle made us a logo and we’re off and running. For more details, check out this post where I reintroduced the meme.
I can be sporadic, but when I do join in I will always share next week’s topic at the end of the post. So, today is about…
Where is your favorite place to read during the summer?
This isn’t really a seasonal question for me, at least not anymore. In the past, I was a sit by the pool or on the beach reading person… but now I don’t go to the pool or the beach and it’s hard to say if that’s a baby thing or a COVID thing, since i had Dante just 6 months prior to the pandemic. But I think, even without the pandemic, I’d be unlikely to be at the pool without Dante to watch.
So, that being said, my reading places are pretty much in bed or on the balcony. If I’m listening to an audiobook, it’s everywhere – the car, cleaning, walking, shower, etc. If my mind isn’t too full with what I’m doing, I’m listening to an audiobook.
I remember trying to read with a toddler – it pretty much didn’t happen! I wish I’d been an audiobook reader back then.
I’ve taken my book to sit by the lake or river when we go camping, but any lakes and rivers around home get too peoply and I end up people watching b/c that is a favorite past time, too. 🙂 I do like sitting on my porch early morning to read before it gets too hot and, like you, the audio can be on almost anywhere. 🙂
I wish I had a pool or beach to read at! I listen to audiobooks everywhere, but I only read in my bed. Everywhere else is too distracting.
My answer would be in front of my fan in my bedroom. 😅 Except for when I’m listening to an audiobook. I listen to those (and podcasts) everywhere too.
