a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Blogging News and Bookish  News:

So I am officially done with this Hiatus! Yay! I am feeling like I am in a better place and ok with the organized chaos.

I am still working on some posts so this week might be a little light for me. My review for the Dragons Gift Trilogy went live this week and I reviewed all three books in one post, 5 Stars for the entire series!!!  You might have to be careful reading it but I did do an overall at the end that didn’t have any spoilers so you can always skip to that.

While picking my TBR list meme books, I realized that most of my shelf books aren’t on Goodreads. Then I noticed I had 500+ books on my TBR Shelf. I couldn’t even tell you what most of them are. So I decided for my Task it Tuesday meme that I would tackle my Goodreads shelves and make them a little more organized. I actually took off about 400 books from my To Read shelf, some of them I had no idea what they were or how they even got on the shelf. I plan to reorganize all those shelves, add new ones and get better linked with what is on my kindle and physical shelves. I am not sure about you but I use Goodreads almost every day, a few times a day. I also wanted to add some reviews into Goodreads that I might have missed. Someone told me they do quick reviews when they finish reading on Goodreads like just an overall of the book. I actually like that idea because it will give me time to write the review and gather my thoughts.

Sign Up for COYER goes live May 19th and the challenge starts on June 9th.
This will be our biggest challenge! So many fun things planned. I can’t wait for you all to see the details.

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Binge Watchers Club ~ The Updated List
  • I am working on a few reviews so they might pop up this week.

(Read, Currently Reading & Next)

What I grabbed

I was a very good girl but I also asked for books for Mom’s Day so I will probably have new to share next week! 🙂

Off the Blog Updates:

  • Took my daughter to the foot doctor this week and she has something with a very long name. Basically a bone in her foot is bigger than normal and it’s rubbing on a tendon causing both to be inflamed and painful. She is currently in a Cam Boot for 6 weeks to see if we can get the pain and rubbing to stop. The Doctor sees her again in two weeks to see how it’s going and to find out if it will be 6 weeks or longer. Also what to do next if that doesn’t work.
  • Going to Breakfast with the family this morning and then I am not sure. It’s going to rain a lot today so it might be a sit inside and read or play Star Stable kind of day.
  • I will also be around later today to comment back and visit.
  • Looking forward to going to the shore for the first time this year on Memorial Weekend but this will also be the first time the kittens will be alone for a few days with a sitter coming twice a day to check on them. I am a nervous wreck to be honest.
  • My Son’s finger is looking better and we decided it’s best for us to just buy Ice Cream because apparently running out the door to catch the Ice Cream truck is dangerous.
  • WORK IS FINALLY SLOW but now it’s boring and I wish it was sort of busy again.
  • Finally switched out all our winter clothes to summer clothes….it better not snow!

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. That cover for Wolves and Daggers is perfection!!
I decided to re-organize my kindle collections and my goodreads this week… It took HOURS and I’m not doing that again for a long while!

  2. I’m on the allergy problems train too. I decided to break out in hives today which is an extra bit of fun. Can’t figure out what started that! That’s crazy about your daughter’s foot. Hopefully the book does the trick. My Goodreads To Read shelf is around 2500 and I have no clue what’s on it. I really need to sort my shelves out as well. Have a great week!

  3. Well, it sounds like you’ve got it going on girlfriend! You’re organized and hopefully a little refreshed. I keep considering taking a hiatus myself. Just can’t seem to pull the trigger. :/ Glad your son’s finger is better and I hope your daughter’s foot gets better soon! I hope you had a fabulous Mother’s Day! Oh, and I am really excited about COYER!! 😀
    {{{big hugs}}}

  4. I’m excited for COYER. I’m sorry you are having allergy problems . It took me over 40 years to find the right combo for me and now I don’t suffer. Allegra and a prescription nasal spray daily. Everyone is different tho. I just can’t go to SC in April or May, there’s something there which give a 2 week allergy attack (2009, 2017) Or Texas in February (cedar pollen) Also I hope your kids are healing from their injuries. I am also on Goodreads many times a day. I rework my shelves and change the books to different shelves as needed a few times a year. I’ve gotten good at the batch edit and using multiple shelves view to get the info I want. Anne – Books of My Heart

  5. Yay for working on your Goodreads shelves! I actually have been working on mine over the past month or so and I ended up getting rid of somewhere between 100-200 books that I had on my TBR that I actually was never going to read. Lol. It felt really good to update the shelves! I do need to add some reviews. I usually am pretty good about posting reviews on Goodreads when they go up on my blog, but apparently there was a few I missed a while back that I found out about while working on my shelves.

I’ve never participated in COYER before. But I might have to look into participating in this upcoming one! 🙂

Hope you have a great week! 🙂

  6. Yay for the hiatus being over. And happy Mom’s day. 🙂 I need to use Goodreads more, although I’ve been better this week!

Hope your daughter recovers soon and the boot works! And good luck with the kitties- I’m sure they’ll be fine. 🙂

    Have a great week Michelle!

  7. Happy Mother’s Day. It’s good to hear they figured out what was wrong with your daughter’s foot. I wish her and you son both a speedy recovery. My Goodreads shelves aren’t too great either. I also had books on my TBR that I didn’t remember putting there and slimmed that list way down. Now to write reviews for all of the books I’ve been reading.

  8. Who knew trying to catch the ice cream truck could be dangerous…lol. 🙂 I started organizing my Goodreads and never finished it I really need to do that cause it’s a chaotic mess!

Have a great week! Miss your face! oxox

  9. I really want to actually do COYER this summer. I sign up every time but fail miserably!!! Hope they figure out how to fix your daughter’s foot! That sounds painful.

    • I failed the winter one so I am hoping to do better in the Summer. This Summer is going to be a lot of fun so even if you just do a little of it, it will be a fun event.
I am hoping the boot works out. She is so uncomfortable.

  10. Yay! I am glad to hear you’re officially done with the hiatus and getting back to blogging. I’ll have to read your review for Dragon’s Gift trilogy next as I am curious to hear your thoughts about that series.

I have to put some time into organizing my Goodreads shelves as well. I am sure there are some books I can remove and some others that could use some updating.

I am looking forward to the next Coyer! The logo looks great and I can’t wait to hear what you have planned for this Coyer!

I hope the boot helps your daughter’s foot. I hope you get some new books for Mom’s day! Have a great week!

    • I even did a bunch of posts and seem to be about two weeks ahead. So that is great, lets hope I can keep this going. Now I just need to find time to read. 🙂
OMG my shelves are a mess and this is a huge project since I want to reorganize everything. I plan to take it a little at a time.
I am excited for COYER I actually miss its.
Thank you, we are hoping it helps too! 🙂
