The Turn is a must read for Hollows fans! #review

I loved this – it was so cool to see so many familiar characters at this pivotal stage of human/inderlander history. I do feel that the ending was a bit abrupt – like, “and you all know where this heads, so that’s it.”

Personally, I feel like it opened up so many questions about Trent’s upbringing, even while it explained so many things – like Qwen’s devotion to him. I’m so incredibly curious about the time between this book and the start of book 1, in a way I never was before. So now, I’m hoping for books that I never cared about before lol! I grew really attached to these characters and I just want to know how things unfold – even though I do know where they end up.

Oh and I listened to The Turn, which was narrated – like the rest of the series – by Marguerite Gavin. Always a great listen with her! It was fun hearing her interpretation of younger Qwen, for example! I want more!!

If you’re a fan of the Hollows series, this is not a prequel to skip!

4.5 stars I loved it

It took her a while, but Berls read and LOVED the Turn. 4.5/5 stars! #review Share on X

  1. I can’t flippin’ wait to get to this one but I want to read the last in the Hollows first. They’re both sitting on my shelf gathering dust. :/ I’m so happy you loved it though, Berls! It sounds like it’s really well done and I love that the new characters seem well done even if it made you long for more insight into some of our favs! Fingers crossed KHarrison is writing another in this world. πŸ™‚
    Hope you’re having a great weekend and that you’ll have a great week! {{{hugs}}}

    • You haven’t read the last Hollows yet?! Ok, we’ve got to fix that! Yes, it was really well done and I really REALLY hope she is writing more (though I haven’t heard anything… πŸ˜₯)

      Hope you’re weekend is wrapping up well!! Xoxo

  2. I really loved this one too. I thought it was interesting that Trent had a pixie friend, since he was so opposed to them at the beginning of The Hollows series. I would love another book between this book and Dead Witch Walking. Great review.
