Books and Blogging
I am still in a slacker mood and now I am starting to not like my lack of getting my blog in order. That break over the holidays really put me in a strange slump and I am hoping to some how get out of it. Can I blame unhealthy eating because so far I believe that has been my problem the last couple of weeks lol. I went shopping today and got a lot of healthy foods so lets see if that helps. (it’s probably more because I was just so lazy that week I can’t get out of it) 🙂
I didn’t read a lot this week –
Last Week on the Blog
Sunday – WIR and the Sunday Post
Monday – 2014 New and Old what to expect on the blog this year
Wednesday – Staircase of Stars Review

Sea of Shadows Review
Saturday – Author Spotlight Nicholas Ryan
My To-Be Read List
This Week on the Blog
Sunday – WIR and the Sunday Post
Monday – If I can get it ready by Monday I will do my first Just Random Post. It’s a recipe for something that is like crack when you eat it. I can never make enough and it’s very dangerous to have in the house if you are alone 🙂 (If I can’t get if finished this Monday I will post it next week)
Tuesday – Pod’s Blitz
The Immortal Circus Blitz
Wednesday – Author Spotlight Ripley Pattron
Thursday – Full Steam Ahead Blitz
Friday – Chasing Forever Down Review Tour
Saturday – My To-Be Read List
I did get a few books this week
I downloaded these from amazon (free reads), some for me and some for my daughter:
For Me:
Hyde by Lauren Stewart
The Bagman by Rachael Rippon ( LOVE the cover of this books)
For My Daughter:
Princess Kiah and the Glass Slipper by Joy Findlay
Adventures in Cutie Patootie Land and The Dreamy Berry Cookie Contest by Starrie Sky
What else is going on?
Well I signed up for my last class, it will be in April and May for 4 weeks, I had to re-adjust my schedule at work since class starts at 2 and I work till 2:30. I am going to take a WordPress class and I heard nothing but good things about it and for what I want to do, it’s perfect!!! Soon I can switch and then I can help others design websites or help them move from blogger. I am very excited about it.
The rest of my week was rather normal. I’m not sure if I ever mentions that the week of Xmas my daughter (who is 6) tripped and sprained her ankle. On Xmas Eve we had to take her to the ER because we didn’t realize she sprained it but she woke up and looked awful, poor thing, plus it was so swollen, we didn’t think she could wait till after Xmas so my husband took her. She had to wear an air cast and an ace bandage. She has been wearing the air case while she was off from school but since it’s been snowing and school is back I had to make her just wear the Ace Bandage since she can’t walk around in a slipper with it wet outside. I feel like this is why she is not getting better faster. I had hoped she would be cleared in a couple of weeks but we went to the doctor this week and he said she has to wait two more weeks to see if she can go back to regular activities. Which means she is missing her dance class and she is super bummed about it. We sat in on the class on Saturday just so she can watch. I have my fingers crossed she can go back on the 25th. Her next appointment is on the 21st of Jan. So if you can cross your fingers and toes (just not your eyes it will give you a headache) she is better by then 🙂
I am so jealous of your wordpress class! I want to make the move to wordpress too. I look forward to hearing how the class goes.
Don't be jealous, When I figure it all out I will be happy to help you make the move 🙂 I can't wait for it 🙂
I understand your slump!! I'm like that too! I've heard good things about Hyde. Enjoy your reading!
Thanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I am looking forward to reading it. I have been looking at it for a while and just happened to notice it was free on Amazon 🙂
*fingers and toes crossed* 🙂 I get in those slumps occasionally. The busier I am though the better I seem to manage my time. lol
I am hoping things get busier and they seem to be, I am feeling a bit better this week 🙂
I was reading an enjoyable book this week, Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong, but I just couldn't find the time to read it and it took me more than a week to finish it. I hate it when I don't have much time to read.
I have done some beta reads already and I really enjoy beta reading! It's such a unique experience and I love giving comments on a book and actually help the
I do like it but I just feel like I'm not making enough comments. The next one I hope to do a lot better.
I hear so many great things about wordpress and I just finished my HTML & CSS class in November so I am good with that, I'm just a nervous wreck about moving and lossing my entire blog.
Good luck with your class, sounds like fun, and hope your daughter is better soon too.
Have a great week!
Thank you 🙂
These are books that I'm not at all familiar with but your excitement over them is contagious! I hope your daughter is doing much better. I have a six year old boy so I know how hard that could be. Anyway, have a great week!
I got them for Free on Amazon, I could not pass them up.
Thank she is doing pretty good but it's really hard to make her stop moving lol.
Hope your daughter is feeling better soon. Yes, the long break can make me lazy too for some reason the busier I am the more productive I am. I love the cover of Hyde. Hope your week is splendid!
Yes I agree, I guess once the year really kicks in I will get out of my rut 🙂
I have noticed that one for a while now and I just saw it for free and I love they synopsis for it 🙂
You have some awesome-looking books…none of the familiar to me, but that's the point. Thanks for sharing and enjoy. Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
