WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Blog News:

I am a bit late writing this post, so I am hoping it wont be riddled with more errors than usual. It’s odd that I am so late with it since I have had a very quite week and weekend just a lot of real life stress but I managed to finish one book, read another and start a new one.

I am participating in Bout of Books this week and I’m not sure I am doing it the right way. I have seen others update during the week of progress and stuff but I didn’t know you were suppose to do that and I didn’t but this is my first Read-a-thon so I will get it eventually. I also missed TWO twitter parties one for Bout of Books and one for Clean Sweep ARC Challenge (made it at the end) I am so bummed I missed it. Trying so hard to chat with fellow bloggers but I always seem to never know just how to do that. It’s nice to have a bunch of blogger friends to chat books with just need to get some ๐Ÿ™‚ because I think I might be driving Kim (Berls) crazy ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speaking of Kim, She and I have let COYER go on Summer Vacation and OMG I can’t wait for you all to see what we have planned, If you love participating in COYER you are going to love it on vacation. Check back on here or on Kims (Berls) blog Fantasy is More fun, Wednesday May 21st for all the super fun details.

June the return of My T0-Be Read List I can’t wait to share it, I have worked out most of the details just have to know write it all down. I think I might include a giveaway in it also once a month…shhhh I can’t say no more you will see the first Saturday in June (date subject to change)

Amazon Freebies

If you haven’t been on Amazon in the last couple of days you might want to a LOT of box sets are on sale or at least they were. A bunch of freebies and .99. I didn’t have time to scope them all out and I might be to late to look at anymore but it’s worth a peek if you have time. This was all I was able to get but I plan to go back and see what other ones I want.

What else is going on?

Just a lot of stress, things are about to change and I will be able to talk about it in June (or next post, it depends). We originally thought things would work but we hit a snag and it was what I was worried about but I have been putting on a happy face and move through the days with as much positivity as I can but I am starting to lose hope. If it wasn’t for this blog and reading I would be a complete mess. Please don’t think I am looking for sympathy because I am not, I am the type of person that takes each day as it comes and just hopes for the best and if it doesn’t work out today there is always tomorrow to try again. I also realize it could be a lot worse and there are people in this world that are worse off than me. So like always I will take it day-to-day and just make the best of what we have and what life throws at us. I am ALWAYS up for a challenge ๐Ÿ™‚

I FINALLY went to the ENT and I have Chronic Sinusitis and a bunch of Polyps in my nose/sinus. So I am on some steroids and antibiotics to see if they will go away and in 3 weeks I need a CT Scan to see what else is going on. Will the FUN EVER END!!! and the worst part of these meds is I wont be able to drink on my BIRTHDAY!!! The steroids I have to be on for two weeks and my birthday is the 28th of May so no celebrating my Mile stone birthday (I will be 40) with couple drinks, but on May 31st I will be drinking an entire bottle of wine to make up for it ๐Ÿ™‚

This weekend is Memorial weekend and I will be away the entire weekend for my husbands birthday (25th) and we have a BBQ on Sunday for Mine and his Birthdays/Memorial Day. So I might not have a post up until the next weekend which I will have tons to tell you since I will be going to BEA on the 30th. I am still so bummed I didn’t doย  the entire week but I am doing it next year for sure. So if you are going to be there on Friday the 30th let me know maybe we can meet up to say hello ๐Ÿ™‚

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Let’s Chat…

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. You do have a lot going onโ€ฆ and I’m more nosey than anything ๐Ÿ™‚ And of course you can ‘load off’ to your bookish friends ever now and again, that’s what a great community like this is here for.
I’ve lived with chronic rhinitis for over 20 years nowโ€ฆ. sinusitis is I think more unpleasant. I’ve just got a chronically blocked nose and ever now and again it flares up, and quite often I have to breathe through the mouth. but hey, there is worse out there!
You saying that you’re not sure if you are doing the Read-a-thon right made me smile, because that’s how I would beโ€ฆ I usually don’t often take part in stuff like that, because I can’t promise I can post every day etc due to life’s little stresses.
Have a great week and Happy Reading.

  2. I’m sorry you’re going through a stressful time, Michelle. Please take care of yourself! Hang in there and know you’ve got a lot of blogger-friends in your corner. I’ll keep you in my prayers (unless that makes you uncomfortable.)

I’m looking forward to COYER. Boy, do I need it!

Your new review books look good, especially the ones by H. B. Bolton. I’ve not heard of the author, but the covers are enticing – they look like MG or YA fantasy (and sure enough, when I checked Goodreads, I was right!) I can’t wait to see what you think of them.

    • No not uncomfortable at all…thank you Lark!!! Oh you are going to love COYER wait till u see what we did with it. I’m so excited.

I actually have HB Bolton book on my Kindle already and was so happy she contacted me. I am really looking forward to read them. The covers are great! I lvoe them

    • THANK YOU Ginny!!! and Thank you for the Birthday Wishes, we are looking forward to the time away just celebrating. I hope you will sign up for COYER it’s going to be so much fun this time around!!!

  3. I am always missing the twitter chats. Though I will say that the one for Bout of Books goes by so fast, I don’t even think anyone sees what I say. The Clean Sweep ARC one was pretty fun. Glad you made it! There really is no wrong or right way to put updates for Bout of Books. I only do one post and constantly update that one post throughout the week. Others post a new post all week long. It’s up to you… just have fun really.

    • Thank you Michelle! With Every Breath is really good so far. I am enjoying it. Has the same feel as the first one and I love Yasmin.

  4. Ok, no offering up sympathy, but how about {{{HUGS}}} instead? ๐Ÿ™‚ And we’ll all have a drink for you on your birthday to save you the hangover you may have gotten if it weren’t for the steroids. ๐Ÿ˜€ Great book haul! Have a wonderful week!

  5. This was my first Bout of Books too, but I ended up having to drop out on Friday, due to real life stuff ๐Ÿ™ I’m super bummed about it, but hopefully I’ll be able to join in (and complete) the next one!

  6. Ooohhh. I love freebies! I admire you–you always seem SO organized. I could never run a blog like this. I get information overload and run away. LOL. I also think I need to start listening to books more often.

I hope you have some resting time soon! *hugs*

    • I make it LOOK like I am so organized maybe the blog a lot more than real life, I realize you can’t organize chaos lol. I realized the other day that some series I will just never get to if I want to actually read them but if I listen to them i might be able to get throught an entire series and still keep up with books I want to read.

  7. Oh no, I’m sorry to hear you’ve not been having a good time. ): I hope everything gets better for you soon!

I hope you enjoy The Kiss of Deception! I’ve heard nothing but good things about that book so far, looks like everyone else really loves it. I can’t wait for it to come out!

    • Thank you Cynthia, Fingers crossed and some wishful thinking and things might not be so bad ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have heard good things too and I am excited to start it. I am hoping to start tonight!

  8. Goodness no you’re not driving me crazy!!! LOL I’m just so crazy busy right now that I suck at replying to text messages (also that weekend where I didn’t have my phone b/c camping…). Sounds like we need to chat too – I didn’t know that what y’all had worked out fell through. I won’t say more here, but catch me up. Maybe phone date this week?

Berls recently posted: Sunday Post | 41st Edition
    • Yes this week would be great might have more details for you! And you know me I will text you a million times even if you don’t answer. I could talk for hours whether you are there or not!! Camping I just forgot you went then turned into a worried MOM like person trying to figure out what happened LOL

    • Thank you Bea! It is managable and I am very happy about that just wish it would go away already lol. Wish you were Italian was really cute story, totally recommend!

  9. Michelle, sorry to hear about all the stress. That can be hard to deal with but it sounds like you’re taking it a day at a time, and that’s the best way. Hope everything works out and you have a great week. Happy birthday by the way and enjoy that bottle of wine! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have fun at BEA!!

    • Thank you Greg! If I think to far ahead I get stressed even more and that’s just not a healthy way to be. So day by day it is ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. That’s nice you still got some reading done even though it was a stressful week. i am still reading the same book I started on thuesday, but then again de to watching star wars in the evenings and having two D&D sessions this week i didn’t have much time to read.

I am hoping to be able to participate in the Coyer summer vacation, it sounds like you’re putting a lot of work in it. And I am also looking forward to see what you’ve planned for your To-be read list feature!

I hope you are able to talk a bit more about the change in your next post as it all sounda bit confusing not knowing where it’s about. I hope it all works out eventually!

    • Star Wars and D&D can make someone very busy ๐Ÿ™‚ but it’s so much fun lol

I do hope you join us for COYER it really is going to be so much fun and totally different from regular COYER.

I hate being so vague on the personal stuff but i will say for sure next week. Once everyone reads it they will be like THAT’S IT. It might be bigger for me then others. I’m just not a fan of change ๐Ÿ™‚
