WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Blog News:

Was able to finally relax now that all the stuff in my Personal Life seems to have sorted it’s out and we only have one more minor hiccup but it’s not that big of a deal and just a matter of getting it fixed. So I was able to get back into my blogging life quite easily this week. The next couple of days I plan to try and get ahead of myself and work on more original posts.

I am so super excited that My To-Be Read list is back and I made it a little more interactive. Each month you get to pick which books from my TBR list for me to read and at the end of the month I will review it and do a giveaway of the 3 books that were picked. It should be fun and you are more then welcome to join in on the read if it was something you had on your TBR List. So if you have a moment, Please stop by the post and VOTE on which one you think I should read. Find post HERE. πŸ™‚

CoyerSummerEdition(Signup)ButtonCOYER starts in about 2 weeks! I am so excited about that as well (I am a very excited person I realize) Have you signed up for it yet? (Find the post HERE) It’s so simple just add a starter post either stating what you plan to read or just saying you are joining us it could be just one line post with the logo and you are in πŸ™‚ Also if you joined and have a FB page don’t forget to join the FB group.

What else is going on?

This week kind of felt like a normal week. My son’s last day of school is this Friday and my daughter still has school until June 27. So the summer days are almost here with the crazy kids home all day. Thank god for my mom who will be spending the days with them until I get home from work.

My dad was on the front page of our local paper this week about his business closing and I wanted to share the article with you all. The link is HERE. I am very proud of him and the guys who bought the business have offered my husband a very nice deal and we are so happy about it. Now I have my fingers crossed he will like it πŸ™‚

Other then that I can finally say I am looking forward to the summer months to read and relax at the shore.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Let’s Chat…

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. You can be so proud of your dad, he sounds like the old-fashioned type of businessman, with him doing most of it himself, certainly a boss who is very hands-on and also doing all the ‘back office work’. It’s not easy having a business and I know I couldn’t cope.

  2. That’s a great article about your dad. How fun that he is on the cover. One time I got my dad on the base newspaper cover by nominating for the hero of the week. I was sooo proud. Glad life is starting to straighten out.

  3. Lovely haul! I like the cover of The Serpent’s Ring (I know you got it earlier, but it just looks really interesting.)

Loved the article on your dad and his business. I hope your dad enjoys his retirement! I’m glad things are working out for you and your husband’s job, too.

  4. You know what I just did? Went on Netgalley and requested Throne of Fire. Haven’t read book 2 yet. Have way too many books to read. But the power of suggestion… I think you’re killing me tonight! LOL Maybe I need to get off the blog before I add another 400 books to my shelves tonight!

    • It’s a blessing to have her to watch them otherwise I don’t know what I would do. Bewitched in Oz has a very strange mic of reviews but I am hoping I like it. Thanks for stopping by Kim have a great week!!!

  5. I am glad to hear things have been settling down a bit for you :). I am still debating whether to participate in COYER or not, I often feel like when i decide what to read in advance I don’t want to read those books anymore and want to read different books instead. I am looking forward to read your review of Falling from the Sky, it sounds like a good book!

    • You don’t have to pick any books you can read as you go. Nothing is ever set in stone πŸ™‚ only for sure reads are the readathons and you don’t have to join those if you don’t want to πŸ™‚ I am also very happy things are settling, I feel like i’m alone in my head again. So I can think better lol. Falling from the sky was ok, I had a few issues with it. I was so bummed.

  6. I’m excited that you’re excited! πŸ˜€ I’m debating COYER, but I’ve never joined a challenge. I have a lot of homestead projects coming up though, so I may pass and do it next time. I hope you have a wonderful (and exciting! *winks*) week!

    • Thank you lol πŸ™‚ you should join!!! You can just read and review and link up. just put up a starter post saying you would like to join and will read x amount of books (it could be 5) then read, review and link. This challenge was my first challenge lol When kim asked me to cohost I was a wreck because I never did a challenge before but COYER is super easy. If you can’t do it this time you must join us in Nov!!! It’s so much fun πŸ™‚ I would be SUPER excited if you did πŸ˜‰

  7. Glad things are working out on the personal front. I like your idea of having people vote on your next read- I’ll have to go vote. πŸ™‚ Sounds like fun. And Heir of Fire looks pretty good.

    • Greg, if you haven’t read the Throne of Glass series yet you MUST. I think you will really enjoy it and I 100% recommend for you :). Yes please vote πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to see what you all have picked for me. I am also very glad things are working out, I have my fingers crossed it will be all good from here on. Thank you for stopping by!!!
