Real Life  News:

On Tuesday the Cheerleaders that participated in the Cheer Competition in November were invited to the Town Hall to be recognized by the Mayor for winning a trophy. This is the first time in almost 10 years that the cheerleaders won any type of trophy, I might be wrong but I also think it is the first time in 10 year ANYONE has won a trophy. They each got a certificate for doing an amazing job. So proud of my daughter and the girls.

It was FREEZING this weekend. LIKE FREEZING! We originally were suppose to get snow but it stayed south and it just missed us with just a few flurries, however we might be getting a nice snow next weekend but its too early to tell. I am hoping for at least one nice snow storm this winter. We also went pokemon hunting while it was freezing. It was freaking cold but we got what we wanted and ran home to thaw out.

Being a Rhino was no fun at all but thankfully that is done. I still have a cough but otherwise I am feeling a lot better. Today I am spending the day blogging, designing and making chicken soup.

What I am watching:

I wanted to jump into something new but instead I found myself binge watching Bones again. I can’t seem to stop watching it. I am planning to watch Stranger Things since my daughter asked if she can watch it and I told her only if I watch it with her. So I think we will be getting into season 1 soon. I still have to much more to watch and more I want to add. I will have a Binge Watchers Post soon.

Blogging:

I didn’t get a lot of blogging done during the week but on Friday, I totally killed it. Did you see the new logo above? I am starting to change things over. I still have a few more to do but that will have to wait until next week. I have two reviews to write this weekend and also set up the post for the 24in48 challenge Jan 26th – Jan 27th. I have never done that one so I am excited this will be my first time. I plan to read more on Saturday than Sunday since that weekend is a WWE/NXT PPV Weekend.

I have some Design work to do for 2 clients and will be getting back to Premade covers in the next few weeks. My depression really affected everything, it almost destroyed what I was trying to do with Limabean Design which is why I had to actually stop a lot of it to refocus. I am in a much better Creative place now and have ideas that I plan to do in the next few weeks. I am hoping that by March I will have Limabean Designs rebranded and working on building my name again. So if anyone needs work done let me know, I am OPEN for business! 🙂

Scythe was a DNF. I just couldn’t do it anymore. It was BORING and I thought the audio was going to be better but I found it just a dull. Oh well, onto the next.

  1. Congrats to your daughter and her fellow cheerleaders! 🙂 And I love the new design here, Michelle. It’s adorable! We got over a foot of snow this weekend and I’m in heaven. Of course, driving is NO FUN at all but still…I just love the snow. Happy reading this week, my dear!
Oh, by the way, you won the mystery box of books in my New Year giveaway…I’ll get that out to you this week.
    Miss you!! <3 {{{hugs}}}

  2. It’s so cold here, too! The air does hurt my face, especially when I’m walking the dog. Unfortunately, the dog doesn’t seem capable of being cold. She loves it. I like your logo and header. Congrats on the trophy. Have a great week!

  3. Congrats on the cheerleading win! It snowed about 4-5 in here. However, it snowed on Saturday night which, as a teacher, does me NO GOOD. But, my dogs love the snow so at least they were happy.
Love the new logo! Have a great week 🙂

  4. Tell the cheerleaders I said Awesome Job! Woot woot! Ha ha! I was so excited I typed wotwot instead so I had to change it. lol

It was cold and sleet was imminent so instead of going to the park like we usually do we ended up driving around our area. I wanted one more shiny but only got two. Oh well. I’m really not feeling Pokémon right now. And I am SO sick of the Alolan eggs. Please, can we get something else, for fuck’s sake! I’m also still trying to finish that special research shit that went down in November and only lasted the week were were in Ohio. Like, really? We weren’t able to go out Pokémoning for shit to finish those tasks. I finally found the cubone to move on to step 8 and I was lucky enough to get an aerodactyl from the win 5 raids task, but here I am looking for kabuto, lileep, omnyte or anorith which aren’t anywhere to be found. Fuck this shit.

Anyway, I hope you have a fantastic week and get some really great snow, Michelle! XOXO

    • I just snorted at your WotWot.

YES! I wish they would change the eggs, I am so tired of getting the same thing over and over again. I have one of those nut head pokemon but that is because ryan gave it to me from the Switch Game but I still find it annoying that those don’t seem to pop up at all.

  5. Yay for the cheerleaders and neat how they got the recognition ceremony. Sounds good about your game plan for blog posts and redesign. That’s wonderful about slipping back into your business.
Bummer about the DNF, but boring just can’t be got around. I’d rather be angry about something in a book than bored.

Have a great week and watch out for that ice! 🙂

  6. I’m so happy you’re feeling better Michelle! Thank goodness you’ve kicked rhino to the curb 🙂
I hope you’ll get many new clients for your covers. I have a feeling you’ll hear from Kennedy Daly again fairly soon… But that just might be hopeful thinking on my part… I want the next book 😀
    Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading my friend. I miss you! {{{BIG HUGS}}}

    • Lol yup he seems to be gone now just need the cough to go away.
I hope so too, I see so many nice covers designed by some talented people and I am trying not to let my depression tell me I am not good enough. It just sometimes is louder than I would like but I am determined to do it again.
I did have a second cover done I was just waiting for her to approve or change, I know she is busy so I will wait and see what happens.

      HUGS!

  7. I’m glad the Rhino is gone and you have gone on to many good things this week. Yay for your daughter. I’m sorry you didn’t like Scythe; I LOVED it on audio. My daughter and I have been watching Numb3rs because we are math nerds. I’ve already seen every episode. It gives us a bit of time together to knit. Here’s to a healthy and productive week with books we love. Anne – Books of My Heart

  8. We haven’t gotten any snow yet this year and I am kinda hoping we will still get a bit of snow. It is pretty cold here too. I am glad to hear you’re feeling better and only have a cough left from that rhino virus. We’re currently watching the Gifted, it’s not bad, but also not super good either, but it’s entertaining enough.

I love your new logo for this post and your whole new design. It hardly takes me time to get sued to it, but I think that’s because it fits your blog so well.

I have a new banner request or maybe two for you soon. I am still waiting on some details, but once I have those I’ll e-mail you. That’s sounds awesome how you’re in a better creative place now and I like hearing about your plans for Limabean Designs.

Too bad about Scythe turning into a DNF anyway, I had a DNF as well this week. It’s never fun when that happens, but sometimes putting the book down is better than continuing.

The Beckoning Shadow has a great cover. I hope it’s a good one. I also gave in and requested a book I was curious about. Have a great week!

    • I have been wanting to watch the Magicians, I hear mixed stuff about that one. I might hold off on wanting to watch the Gifted.
I love the whimsy of the design 🙂
I will keep an eye out for the banners. I am feeling pretty creative lately and hope that it give me some good ideas that I can use and also maybe sell.
      I just couldn’t read/listen anymore. I just really didn’t like it.
The Beckoning Shadow does have a great cover. I can’t wait to read it.

  9. Ooh, look at the pretty redesign for your header and Sunday Post/Week in Review! I love it! At some point, I suppose I should refresh my blog design, too. But I still love my little dragon…

Congratulations to your daughter’s cheerleading team! And I hope you had fun hunting Pokemon despite the weather. I forgot all about the Community Day thing, and totally missed it. Oh, well!

  10. I love the new blog graphics! Very pretty.
I loved Stranger Things. I don’t know how old your daughter is but if she’s anything less than a teenager I think you’re definitely right to watch it with her. S3 comes out this summer and I’m so excited!

    Have a great week!
