If you haven’t heard of COYER yet, head over to COYER’s website to learn all about the bi-annual challenge hosted by Because Reading and Books, Movies, Reviews. Oh My!
The thing about being a COYER host is that I can get a little lax about pushing myself in the participation aspect of the challenge. I’ve been lazy the last couple COYERs and that’s about to change! I’ve decided to take on the Switch and all the challenges that includes… for full details go to the sign up post.
This means I have the Strict, the List and the one with the Twist to do! I decided to start with the List, because lists are always hardest for me and I always start challenges stronger than I finish them.
The List: December 16 – January 22
For the list I can read any book on my list, in any format, obtained in any legal way… I just have to have them already. I add 5 new books after I’ve read 5, so that’s good… although me reading more than 5 books in 4 weeks isn’t THAT likely. I’m making this a mix of audio and print since that’s how I tend to read.
For audio, I chose books that I have for audio review. For print, I went to my “owned-but-not-read” shelf on Goodreads and tried to pick books that I still want to read but have been on the list for a long time.
The Strict: January 13 – February 9
So The Strict won’t be terribly hard for me, it’s more about checking that I didn’t pay too much for the books, but usually I don’t pay much for my ebooks. It’s the hardcovers I really pay for!
The Twist: February 10 – March 9
This will be the easiest for me, as my main type of reading is audio books. So I’ll bring it home with the audio books!
I have been a huge a COYER slacker in the past. I am hoping to do better this time. I have not been requesting as many ARCs so i am hoping that helps me focus on my COYER goals. I am doing Switch as well.
You’re not alone π good luck this time!
I am doing the list first to for the same reason!! π
Hahaha got to stay with the hardest first, right?!
You go Berls! I have read several of the books (and listened to some, too) on your list – and I loved them! You can do this π
Miss you! {{{hugs}}}
Yay!! Thanks Lexxie, good luck to you this COYER. {{hugs}} miss you!!
I’m the same way about ebooks. I’ll only pay so much for an ebook. If it’s more than 7-8 bucks I usually go for print version. I’m super excited for COYER Switch! Great list of books. π
Yeah I don’t like to pay more than $5 for an ebook honestly. So excited do COYER!
