Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

This week was a pretty good week. Work wasn’t too busy but by the end of the week it got a little crazy. I didn’t realize a minor error at work and now have to redo something that was already printed and finished. That frustrates me and makes me overthink, I misunderstood what the person wanted of course it is my fault but it was approved so that sucks and stresses me out. I know I’m not perfect and mistakes happen but I always beat myself up so bad because I feel like at work that is what is expected, which makes it very stressful. I like my job, I just hate that pressure.

Anyway, that called for a trip to the book store and grab a few books.

The Haunting of William Thorn by Ben Alderson
Breath In, Bleed Out by Brian McAuley
Slashed Beauties by A. Rushby
Katabasis by R.F. Kuang

A few from my TBR List of books that I wanted and I couldn’t pass up the tote bag, totally me!

I have been working on a project for the last few weeks and now that I have the new computer I can spend more time on it. My mom was a fantastic cook, it runs in the family since my nanny was also a fantastic cook. I took all her recipes when she passed and decided that I want to make something with all the recipes. So yesterday I started to go through all the recipes and realized that it was much harder to do then the pictures. I miss her so much and seeing her handwriting and the recipes she would cook us as kids makes me miss her even more. I feel like this is going to be a great piece of her. I am still not sure what I plan to do with it besides giving it to family it has potential to be so much more.

Today the weather is going to be super rainy and we are going to get tropical storm type of weather. So I am planning to stay inside and just be cozy.

  1. Sorry to hear about the mishap at work. Things do happen, what’s important is learning from the mistake and making a plan to avoid a repeat happenstance.

But trips to the bookstore are always good too! Lol. These are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all! The tote bag is perfection! I remember seeing this one too and almost bought it, but talked myself out of it since I have way too many totes as it is! Lol.

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!
