Each month you will make a post with three books from your TBR List (these books can be already on your kindle or shelf or books you might want to purchase) and add your link on the linky that will be provided on my post. Your followers and the people on the linky will help you choose which book you will read next. The following Saturday you will announce the book that won. Then read the book and on the last Saturday of the month post a review. MY TBR List is hosted by Michelle (Because Reading) so be sure to stop by her post to link up and vote for everyone!

Her first thought: "Who are you?"
It's the morning after her cousin's bachelorette party in Vegas and Megan Scott wakes up with the mother of all hangovers. Even worse, she's in a stranger's penthouse having woken up with something else as well - a funny, arrogant, sexy...husband!
Up until now, finding even a boyfriend had seemed impossible - been there, got the broken heart, sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter...no, Connor Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night!
Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?

"I don't want a divorce."

My top thoughts:

I am very thankful this book won for My TBR List this month, because I enjoyed every minute of it. It falls loosely into one of my favorite tropes – fake relationship to real relationship. I say loosely, because they were REALLY married, but they had a plan that made it seem fake.

What I liked/didn’t like:

So the plan – concocted while Megan was so drunk she didn’t remember it the next day- was that they would get married (in Las Vegas, hours after meeting) and they would fulfill what they each needed but since neither of them was looking for a romantic relationship, it would be an arrangement that met both their needs. Well, I think it’s extremely obvious how this will turn out. Doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the journey there though!

I really liked both characters. Megan is very independent and she knows that what she wants, more than a relationship, is to be a mother. So she’s got a plan (before she meets and wakes up married to Connor) to do artificial insemination. Connor is the rich boy with a troubled past who is just so kind and attentive and so easy to fall in love with… but because of his past, doesn’t want to fall in love himself.

So basically, this is a book you’ve read the building blocks of a few dozen times. And yet, it’s an enjoyable read with some twists and dialogue and characters that make it fresh and fun to read. Just a fun, easy, predictable read – something we all need from time to time!

3.5 stars pretty good
