Each month you will make a post with three books from your TBR List (these books can be already on your kindle or shelf or books you might want to purchase) and add your link on the linky that will be provided on my post. Your followers and the people on the linky will help you choose which book you will read next. The following Saturday you will announce the book that won. Then read the book and on the last Saturday of the month post a review.

Even though I know I’m not going to get through my #2017HW, I figure I can knock one more book off the list this year, right? So my December 2017 Choices all come from my #2017HW list.

Berls’s TBR List December 2017 Choices'Twas the Night after Christmas (Hellions of Halstead Hall, #6; The Duke's Men, #0.5) by Sabrina Jeffries

Pierce Waverly, the Earl of Devonmont, has been estranged from his mother for most of his life. When his mother’s new companion, Mrs. Camilla Stuart, writes to tell him that his mother is seriously ill, he goes home. But when he learns that the lovely widow tricked him in order to effect a holiday reconciliation, he refuses to stay—unless she meets his “terms.” Somewhere between trying to seduce the beautiful Camilla and struggling with the cruel memories of his childhood Christmases, Pierce discovers that not only does forgiveness go two ways, but that love can blossom even in the coldest of winters.

A Christmas read to finish off the year and enjoy the season? Sabrina Jeffries is an author I’ve really wanted to read more of because I’ve everything I’ve read thus far I’ve enjoyed so much. However, this would be my first read, rather than listen. I do love to listen to my HR…

Also I don’t love that its #6 in a series, but it’s also 0.5 in another series, so hopefully that means I won’t be too en media res with this book.

A Devilish Duke on a Quest for Pleasure...

Frannie Darling was once a child of London's roughest streets, surrounded by petty thieves, pickpockets, and worse. But though she survived this harsh upbringing to become a woman of incomparable beauty, Frannie wants nothing to do with the men who lust for her, the rogues who frequent the gaming hall where she works. She can take care of herself and feels perfectly safe on her own—safe, that is, until he strides into her world, and once again it becomes a very dangerous place indeed.

To bed her but not wed her. That's what Sterling Mabry, the eighth Duke of Greystone, wants. But Frannie abhors arrogant aristocrats interested only in their own pleasure. So why then does the thought of an illicit tryst with the devilish duke leave her trembling with desire? Her willing body begs for release... and a wicked, wonderful surrender.

I know this author personally – she’s in my book club – and I’ve NEVER read her. And she wins awards all the time at RT, so I know she’s damn good. This is book 3, which I usually wouldn’t do, but it’s the only one I have and I’ve been told it works as a standalone.

There’s nothing like a hot kiss on a cold day…

Librarian Maureen O’Connell might have predicted she’d find herself crying into the ice cream case at the supermarket after a bad breakup—but she definitely never imagined that a guy hot enough to melt the Rocky Road would flirt with her right there in the freezer aisle. Only Gavin Fraser isn’t a fantasy, he’s a mouth-watering new flavor…

When a freak snowstorm strands Maureen at Gavin’s after just one date, it’s a perfect excuse for something a lot steamier than hot chocolate in front of the fire. It’s definitely lust. Can it also be love?

Another seasonal pick… I’ve had this one from NetGalley at least a year, maybe 2. Time to read it, no?

I hear it’s hilarious and quite a few people I trust gave it 4+ stars. So I’m thinking I’d really enjoy it.
