Because Reading’s Holiday Hop: Join us for a virtual holiday

With COVID-19 putting a damper on 2020’s holiday activities, we thought it would be fun to have a safe, virtual celebration through a holiday hop. We hope you will join us!

What is the Because Reading’s Holiday Hop?

The holiday hop will be a chance to virtually visit each other for the holidays, beginning Monday December 14 – Sunday December 20, 2020.

Each stop on the hop will feature a picture of a special space in the blogger’s home for holiday celebration, along with a description/story of their holiday traditions. Pictures might include:

  • Christmas Tree
  • An advent calendar
  • Stockings on the mantle
  • Holiday lights outside the home
  • Wreath
  • Menorah*
  • Kinarah*
  • Pinatas*

*Note: as these examples illustrate, do not feel confined to Christmas. Whatever you celebrate this season can be the focal point of your post.

Requirements to participate

If you’d like to join us, you’ll need the following:

  • A post with picture and holiday tradition, live on December 14th by 8 am EST.
  • A giveaway valued at $10 or more. When you send your link (details below) please clearly indicate if your prize will be US, Canada, International,
    • Due to COVID: please select giveaways that can be shipped directly from the merchant rather than your home. Digital gift cards are also good options.
    • Because Reading assumes no responsibility for delivery of prizes from blog hop participants. Each blog is responsible for prize fulfillment.
    • The giveaway should run December 14th – December 13th (11:59 pm EST)
  • Include the list of all participants of the hop in your post. The list will be emailed on December 12, 2020 December 13,2020.
  • Include logo and link back to Because Reading in your post.

If you’d like to join us, add your blog to the linky below. In addition:

  • Email coyerchallenge@gmail.com with the link to your post by end of the day December 9, 2020 December 11, 2020. Links must be received to be included in the hop. Even if you’ve signed up below, if a link is not received by the deadline, we will not be able to include you in the hop.
