My To Be Read List #3

Posted September 28, 2013 by Michelle in My TBR List / 4 Comments

I have SOOOOOOOOO many books on my TBR list
I decided that instead of being fresh
and keeping it to myself I figured I would share with all of you.
I put most of these books on for a reason, some I have no idea why they are there 😉

So lets chat….

maybe it’s a book you read and HATED
or a book you LOVED and want me to read NOW
or a book you never heard of.
I figured…
I will randomly pick one book each week to share with you 🙂
This weeks book is:

I actually remember putting this book on my list.
Why I never read it yet….I don’t know.

Of Giants and Ice
(The Ever Afters #1)
by Shelby Bach
Hardcover, 352 pages
Published July 24th 2012
by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Goodreads Synopsis:

When Rory realizes fairy tales are the real deal at Ever After School, she embarks on a classic quest to fulfill her destiny

Rory Landon has spent her whole life being known as the daughter of a famous movie star mom and director dad. So when she begins a new after-school program and no one knows who her family is, Rory realizes something is different. And after she ends up fighting a fire-breathing dragon on her first day, she realizes the situation is more unusual than she could have imagined. It turns out the only fame that matters at Ever After School is the kind of fame earned from stories Rory thought were fictional. But as Rory soon learns, fairy tales are very real—and she is destined to star in one of her own.

This first installment of The Ever Afters series reimagines classic fairy tale characters in a modern context, merging familiar fantasy with the everyday realities of middle-grade existence.

I have been thinking that my Winter Reading List
will be made up of all Middle Grade books. I want this one to be on it.
This one has two of my favorite things; Middle Grade and Fairy-Tale Retelling.
I absolutely LOVE the cover of this book reminds
me of the old video game Dragon Lair.
Have you heard of this book?
Have you read it?
If so is it something I should read soon or not read at all?

Lets Chat 🙂
Thanks for stopping by this weeks My To Be Read List
Check back next saturday for a new featured book!!

    • I think the thing that attracts me the most to it is the fact that it looks like a story retelling about all the fairy tales not just one story.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂
