Tell Me Something Tuesday was hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings, but she has (temporarily?) stopped blogging. So a group of us that had been doing posts (Linda from Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, Karen from For What It’s Worth, Roberta from Offbeat YA, Jen from That’s What I’m Talking About and me) decided to get together, come up with some more topics and keep the meme going.Michelle made us a logo and we’re off and running. For more details, check out this post where I reintroduced the meme.
I can be sporadic, but when I do join in I will always share next week’s topic at the end of the post. So, today is about…
What is your real life superpower?
Hmm… Can multitasking be considered a super power? I thrive off of having too much going on. I’m just super capable at doing a lot at one time. If not that, maybe organizing? I love organizing and am really good at it (physically or digitally). None of those count? Fast-learner! I pick things up super quickly. I’m like a chronic student because I love to learn and I really do just grasp things super easily (all things except Science). I’ve had a few employers say that they were blown away by how fast I mastered things.
So my super powers are kind of boring, but they make life easier. If I could have any super power though, I think it would be the ability to protect myself and others from things. Kind of like Bella’s shield ability in the Twilight series, but with more practical things like illness (can you imagine? to be able to protect my family from COVID!).
Protecting would be an awesome superpower, indeed! It is so tiring trying to protect loved ones from others all the time 🥲 as it’s absolutely beyond our control..
Mmh- I’d love to be a healer. Though somehow it happened twice already that I befriended someone, to help them with their MH and going through stuff… just for them to leave soon after feeling much better than they started off.. so maybe my soul do have a healing vibe to it; that’s what I do. I take care of others & love them deeply 🤔
I’m however following you with the multitasking!
Oops. Not sure why my comment comes under Roberta’s! lol
Being a fast learner, organized, and a multi-tasker are fab personal gifts. I’ve found gifts can change with age or situation b/c I was great at multi-tasking well into my forties, but lately not so much. LOL
MIne would be that I’m a pretty good planner, I guess. If a trip is coming up I’ve got all the things planned including how to get there.
Organising is definitely something we have in common! But I envy your fast-learning ability. I’m only a fast learner when it comes to things I DO like – for instance, I’ve never really studied English at school, because I was curious about the language long before it was included in my school programs, so when the time came, I pretty much only needed the teachers to explain things to me once.
“(can you imagine? to be able to protect my family from COVID!)”
Superpowers for the modern age LOL. It would be too awesome!
Those all count as superpowers in my book! I used to be able to multitask, but now my brain gets easily lost if I don’t stay on one task. Old-person brain. I guess it’s a good think I’m organized!
