Ten…Eight books I recently gave up on #TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They love to share lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

TenEight books I recently gave up on

I had a recent string of really bad luck with books… unfortunately a few of them were highly anticipated and they just didn’t work for me πŸ™ On the other hand, I could only come up with 8, so that’s a good thing, right?

Did you have a better experience with any of these?

Berls is sharing eight books that she recently gave up on in this week's #ttt Share on X

About Berls

Michelle adopted me as part of her blog when I decided to close down my blog, Fantasy is More Fun. The blog was dying, but my love of reading and the blogosphere was still strong as ever - so I found my new home here at Because Reading!

I'm not just a book lover, but a one time author (that hopes to be more in the future), wife, mom to the cutest, happiest, best 2 year old and step-mom to the craziest, sweetest 22 year old on the planet. My family mean everything to me and they appear frequently in the Sunday Post with Berls. So grab a glass of wine and chat books, blogging, and family with me!

    • Felicia loves that series, so you may want to give it a try, despite my not loving it. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. I totally agree, the cover is great. And book 1 was good – it just lost momentum for me with 2.

    • The Jill Shalvis book was really disappointing, in part because I expected to like it so much πŸ™ it may have been a timing issue.

    • I agree, Shalvis is a favorite – it may have been a bad timing thing :/ That was my first Sarah Morgan, but I’m not feeling inspired to try more.

  1. I seem to go thru phases… everything I read is a winner, or I have a period where every other book just doesn’t sit well with me. Just last week I gave up on Mercury Striking by Rebecca Zanetti. I was 40% in before I realized I just didn’t care what happened. LOL

    • Lol I do the same thing. Uh oh about Mercury Striking – that’s a book on my #2017hw… Fingers crossed I have better luck!

    • I’ve seen that too. So sad, because I love her writing style and her YA series. I’m keeping the book because it’s pretty and signed lol
