Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.

An eighteen-year-old chieftain’s daughter must find a way to kill her village’s oppressive deity if she ever wants to return home in Warrior of the Wild, the Viking-inspired YA standalone fantasy from Tricia Levenseller, author of Daughter of the Pirate King.
How do you kill a god?
As her father’s chosen heir, eighteen-year-old Rasmira has trained her whole life to become a warrior and lead her village. But when her coming-of-age trial is sabotaged and she fails the test, her father banishes her to the monster-filled wilderness with an impossible quest: To win back her honor, she must kill the oppressive god who claims tribute from the villages each year or die trying.
I loved Daughter of the Pirate King, I still haven’t read the second one because I need to read the first one again but want it in a physical book instead of ebook (currently saving my pennies to grab them both) When I saw Warrior of the Wild by accident when looking up books on Amazon and read that it was by Tricia Levenseller, I was so excited, then I realized it wont be out until next year, I almost screamed. I don’t know how I will be able to wait that long. I did wish for it on Netgalley but so far my odds are not in my favor when it comes to granting wishes on netgalley. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait…but I wont be happy about it, not one bit! 😉
Are you impatiently waiting for anything?

This sounds really good! And yay, you have the same snowflakes I do:-)
I still need to read the first book, but this looks exciting! Great pick!
Yeah I pretty much want this one too. I mean, that cover???
Not heard of this one but it does sound cool, I hope you wish is granted!! 🙂
I still haven’t gotten around to Daughter of the Pirate King, but I’m really looking forward to this one as well! I am a sucker for all things Vikings, so I’m in!
I recently read Sky in the Deep and wanted more Viking so to have an author I love be writing one, was like hitting the lottery. Daughter of the Pirate King is so good and I had read it so early, I need to re-read before reading the second one.
It looks lovely. I don’t find wishes on Netgalley seem to work for me. I just wait until I can request which seems to always turn out better. Anne – Books of My Heart
I think I got one wish granted and never happened again. I have been waiting until the book comes out because I might need this one for my shelf. I am planning to get the other two of hers in hardcover after Christmas.
Ooh nice! I am looking forward to this one too! Great pick!
