I am pretty sure we all do this and it’s frustrating because why can’t we just get the book and read it right that moment. Why do we put in on our shelf and basically forget about them until the new year and say “Damn it, I wanted to read that book” So last year I had a few I was so excited to get and couldn’t wait to read….I didn’t read them and now I am determined to get them read….I hope. 🙂
This year I have 12 books I am determined to read before the year is over and I will do a repost at the end of the year to see if I was actually able to read them. I am going to post the cover because covers are so pretty and they make posts look nice 🙂
So here are my 12 books…
I think the one that has gotten to me the most is Replica by Lauren Oliver, only because I really wanted to read that book and I made Berls from Fantasy is more fun get it for me at BEA while I waited on line for Heartless which I also didn’t read. *hangs head* Sunborn Rising is a gorgeous book and I think I didn’t read it yet in fear I would ruin it but I do listen to the soundtrack of it which is amazing on Spotify…anyway.. it is another one I was hoping to get to before the end of last year. I don’t know how the year got away from me so quickly but I was going through a rather annoying slump so that could have been part of the issue. I am hoping to get to these soon and I am honestly looking forward to every single one of them.
I will repost at the end of the year to let you know how I did. 🙂

I love the illustrations in Sunborn Rising. That was a quality book that I was excited to review!
A lot of these books are on my TBR. I loved Heartless! I forgot about The Sapphire Cutlass. I really liked the other books in this series and need to read this one. I hope you get to read these and enjoy them.
I’ve not heard of any of those books! o.O Good luck on reading them! If you could do one a month, plus an extra for missing January then you’d meet your goal. Easier said than done, I know. 😀
I have Replica to read too. I got it at the Barnes and Noble special during the summer and I never read it.

So many of the books on your list I also have on mine. I think it’s ironically funny that we both still haven’t read books we made the other person wait in line to get for us at BEA! Good luck getting through them 🙂
I also have a list of books I want to read this year. It’s in the same spreadsheet file as my review copies so that I see it all the time and it’s easy for me to find and remind myself lol.

ALL.THE.TIME! Why is it we get them and then put them on the shelf, letting them languish?!? I have no answers. And I, too, am working hard this year to make sure I read as many of “those” books as I can. I wish you luck in this endeavor, Michelle.
