I can’t believe it’s already October.
The last three months of the year are my favorite because they hold my three favorite holidays Halloween, Turkey Day and Xmas.
I thought maybe for the month of October I would try and share something spooky and fun maybe a book or two or my favorite scary movies. Then on the last Friday of October I will do a spooky giveaway and the winner will be picked on Halloween.
So lets get started….
This week I thought I would start out with one of my favorite movies during Halloween. I actually have two but I will give you this one first and leave the next one till the end of the month. This is actually me and my daughters favorite movie.
About a year ago I introduced this movie to my 4 year old on accident 🙂 I was watching it and she just sat down and watched it. I really thought she would be scared but she wasn’t. She is now 5, almost 6, and still likes to watch the movie. At one point she watched it about 4 times in one day. Her and I have a date to sit in front of the TV, eating popcorn and watching this movie. We love it and I love watching it with her 🙂

Why do I like it? It’s so much fun, funny and just a great family movie. The Sanderson Sisters are fantastic and it’s the only role I ever liked Sarah Jessica Parker in (other than Girls Just Want to Have Fun) Better Midler is great. As much as the movie was a complete flop I think it has a HUGE cult following and is a must see when halloween rolls around.

This one is so cute. A little boy gets on the wrong bus and is stuck on a ghoul bus with a bunch of characters that aren’t as scary as he first thought. They are actually a lot of fun.

Ooh cute!! I remember watching Hocus Pocus as a kid myself! Thought it was funny, don't recall being scared either at the time…was in kindergarten then! Guess I was already developing a love for creepy things!

My son was scared of the zombie guy that really wasn't scary and then I realized my daughter isn't scared of anything. It's amazing what she will wathc and just brushes it off when I think she will be scared.

I must admit to never having seen nor heard of the movie, Hocus Pocus. But witches is probably as far as I can go with terrifying movies. Lol. Wimp, much? I loved Practical Magic – which as a book-to-film type of deals. Thanks for the kiddie book reccs! My kids would enjoy those. 🙂
