Since starting My To-Be Read List I don’t believe this has ever happened to me. I am in a serious slump and getting off an ok book and into my TBR I was rather excited but after 3 days of not picking it up, I realized I don’t think I was in the mood to read it. I plan to read it as some point but I just didn’t want to read it now.
The book what was picked it Extracted by Sherry D. Ficklin
I am very good with Time Travel when I watch it on TV but when I read it in books sometimes I need to be in the right frame of mind to get into it because stuff like that confuses me. I am not saying I didn’t like the book, this is NOT a DNF, I only got to page 16 before I realized I was having a mood reading moment and needed to move on to something else to get my over the slump. So I have no review this month and I am sorry for that. Starting this meme was to help us get those books we never thought we would get to read. So I am a bit angry with myself for letting myself fall into a slump and not finishing. I did, however, want to see how you all did this month so please leave your link so I can come and read your awesome review 🙂 Cross my heart I will have a review for the next pick next month.

Thank you so much for stopping by
Hope you have a great day and Happy Reading!

Its a shame you’ve hit a slump Michelle (I had one a bit too this month!) but hopefully you’ll feel better once you’re out the other side!
We all have slumps sometimes, Michelle. And I’ve read quite a few books, that after coming off a stellar read, just didn’t do it for me. I hope you get out of the funk and into something spectacular soon!!
I’ve never been a real fan of time travel. Maybe that’s why I haven’t watched Doctor Who even though I love Sci-Fi? *shrugs* Who knows? Don’t feel bad about the review. Sometimes the frame of mind just isn’t there. It’ll come back to you. 🙂
I’m not a big fan of time travel in books because I have a hard enough time wrapping my brain around it in film or TV form. I’m not too much of a mood reader but I’ve learned the hard way that if I force myself to read a book that I’m not really in the mood for it’s basically instant slump. It’s smart to pull the plug before that happens!
I have had plenty of books that have been hard to get in the right state of mind for. Sometimes you just to put it aside and read something else.
Don’t get mad at yourself, sometimes we’re just not in the mood for a particular book. You can always try it again another time.
I know, I just feel bad for not even really getting started with it. I know I would have DNF’d it if I read it when not in the mood.
Being a mood reader myself I totally get that. 🙂
I think I am in a reading slump, I didn’t even read anything today.
I’m a mood reader too so I completely understand!
I might be in a slump, I am hoping the book I am reading now gets me out of it.
I’m a mood reader too, and if it’s not there it’s not there. 🙂 Time travel is so hit and miss.
Time Travel is so miss for me but I can read some and I heard the book is really good so I am a little bummed but I will try again 🙂
Time Travel often doesn’t work for meand for some genres I really need to be in the mood else it doesn’t work. I think it’s good you noticed it that early, I often force myself to read the book anyway and that can just make things worse. I hope you like this book more when you give it another try! My pick for this month turned out to be really good and I ordered the rest of the series already!
That was why I stopped reading it, I heard it is a good book just not in a that intense time travel reading mood 🙂
I am glad you enjoyed your book 🙂
