#bingewatchersclub Christmas Movies happened

Do you spend hours in front of the TV, maybe days? Did you ever want to chat with other Binge Watchers or ask people for suggestions or maybe just review the season you watched. Books, Movies, Reviews, Oh My! and Because Reading had the perfect idea, why not get all of us binge watchers together!!!

I was so sure I would finish Once Upon a Time, but Hallmark had Christmas in July and I watched that all weekend and most of this week. I love Christmas movies, watching them makes me want to make the house all warm and cozy with hot coco and gingerbread cookies, I want to bake pies and cuddle with the family. However they keep reminding me it’s summer and roll their eyes when they pass through the kitchen but in 3 months now eye rolls allowed it will be all things Christmas movies whether they like it or not!!! πŸ˜‰

I plan to go back to Once this weekend so I can finish it. D23 Expo was this week and they have been giving little bits about everything going on in Disney and they mentioned Once Upon a Time. I think I am going to skip next year because from what I am reading I am not liking the way it is going. I think this season will be my last. I am actually considering going on to GLOW next since I am DYING to watch that. If you don’t know what it is, that is the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. It was a show I used to watch when I was little, and I watched the documentary about it recently and found out they were coming out with a series about the wrestling show. I am kind of excited to watch it after watching the documentary.

Also did you see this…..

This poster is stunning! I didn’t think the first season was as epic as everyone else, I liked it but I am actually excited for this season. I am curious where they will take the characters. If you haven’t binge watched Stranger Things you should, I would love to see what you thought and the soundtrack is pretty awesome. I am hoping all the “new” people in it doesn’t ruin the original story but after watching the teaser, I actually got the chills. I didn’t think I would be excited about this seasons but I am.

Has anyone watched Will on TNT? I watch part of the first episode and thought it was really odd. I realize as a bookish person I get the retelling being really off. Since I love really obscure retellings and this seems like one of those types of retellings however I noticed it has a MA rating on TNT and I was confused, I stoped half way because I realize I might need to wait until the kids aren’t around to watch it. Wondering if any one else watched it and what they thought?

What have you been binge watching?

Thanks for stopping by…

Happy Binge Watching!

  1. I am totally one of those people who rolls my eyes at the Christmas movies *hides* Lol. Oddly enough, my dad is actually the one who loves them! I’m pretty sure he was been watching the Christmas in July on Hallmark as well haha.

I love the poster for Stranger Things! It’s so creepy! I am definitely looking forward to season 2! And agree, I didn’t find season one to be as SUPER AMAZING as everyone said it was, but I really liked it! For me, I feel like a lot of the hype was the nostalgia of it being set in the 80s, but I just didn’t get it because I’m a 90s kid myself. Maybe when they set in the 90s it will be a different story for me πŸ˜‰ lol

P.S. I just found this meme and have decided to hop on board! It just seems like a lot of fun! Thank you so much for hosting!

  2. Stranger Things 2 looks awesome. And I agree, I didn’t think S1 was THAT good. I mean I liked it but it wasn’t the best thing sliced bread you know? But I’ll definitely be watching S2. πŸ™‚

I started GLOW too- pretty fun so far!

    • lol exactly!
Oh you started GLOW! Did you watch the documentary! I was a die hard fan of glow when I was younger. The documentary was amazing and I can’t wait to watch the series.

  3. I don’t have any of the Christmas movie channels anymore πŸ™ I still have a few recorded on my DVR though, so I watched a coupe during the Christmas in July week. Let me FEEL like I was part of it πŸ™‚ I gave up on Once a long time ago and don’t miss it in the slightest. I think I did 2 seasons. I can’t wait to hear what you think of GLOW. I’ve seen several previews of it and I got semi interested, despite not liking wrestling AT ALL. So we’ll see.

    • I think they had an app you can get. To watch the movies in December.
You need to watch the documentary if GLOW on Netflix, it’s really good and will give you a great background on the show. The original program those girls were amazing and everything they did for entertainment. It’s sad they sort of just went away and only die hard fans (like me) remember them.

  4. We haven’t started GLOW yet but probably will eventually. I am sooooo excited for Stranger Things. Some of our favorite TV series just started back up so I haven’t had as much time to binge. We love The Strain and GoT. I actually enjoy a Christmas movie from time to time, but not in the summer – sorry. Right now it’s so hot you could come close to baking a pie without turning on the oven!

    • I still need to catch up on GoT but I have been wanting to watch The Strain it looks interesting. I need to get my husband to watch it with me.
Christmas movies are only this week πŸ™‚ I need a fix in the middle of the year on hallmarks Christmas in July or I have withdrawals, lol
Now I want to bake a pie! Yum!!! πŸ˜‰
